choppa7
I was following my girlfriend home the other day (we happened to both be driving from the same place, I dont stalk her or anything).I noticed the n/s rear wheel was bouncing quite eratically when she went over a bump in the road or turned a corner. Her last service advised of the damper not damping properly, could this be the cause of the wheel bouncing? How difficult is it to change and where would be the best place to source a replacement? The car is a Lupo E which has done about 58k miles if thats of any use. Thanks for any help! Adam
That probably is the cause of the bouncing wheel syndrome, i had a leaky shock on my old polo and the ride was ok until i went on uneven surfaces, then it was all over the place. You could try VW for the rear shock or maybe Euro Car Parts, im not sure how much it will be though, i wouldn't have thought it would be very expensive like. Rich
most annoying part is stripping it to get to the top cap. choose an ecp strut or a VW one, sometimes it's best to change both at once. depends how bothered you are. seriously easy to do, no messing with springs. I think they are but I've got no idea what AUC: 37KW Means style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> 625442880625442885Thanks very much! Adam
I think AUC:37KW is the engine code, so you could cross check it against you log book if you have one?
