D7 YME
Ty have sent amd a quick e-mail to find out where most of the power increase is going be £411 is a bit expensive
bossjohnc
Very interesting indeed!I'd have thought it'd be difficult to get that sort of gain from a N/A with a remap, but there you go - AMD are fairly tried, tested and trusted. At £17.50 per PS, that's not bad going. MattyB
Find this hard to believe, even from AMD... +7bhp from NA by chiptuning is usually pretty optimistic - and is whats is usually quoted - getting a 1.6 16v from 125bhp to 145bhp seems like rubbish to me.Maybe, just maybe, if you go on the basis that it runs at 130bhp standard, its +7-8bhp as usually, then a over-reading dyno could give close to 145bhp. I don't know...I'm just a bit sceptical
tdwindustries
I have to say that I believe this.... I have evidence! Hopefully will post end of next week style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
MattyB
Actually I've also noticed they're doing a "BEISSBARTH 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT & FRONT TOE"Not sure if this is just a standard re-alignment, or they're trying to sell it as an improved geometry setup, might be worth investigating that too? Tigz™
I would be intrested in that if they sort the caster was set up as well.Wouldn't need to raise the car then.Tim if this is another mission (cos I belive that a 20hp increase would be possable on your car style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> ) will you ask about this? MattyB
How do they get around the whole "Glued" ECU issue? Or is it because its just a remap that its not a problem?
Tigz™
Is it a 'chip' or a serial port remap?Id imagen it'd be the latter?

FunkyMunky
It's pretty damn hard for an insurance company to find out whether you've had a remap isn't it? Surely they would have to RR the car to find out?
