Hey! I'm in urgent need for a 1.7 lupo gear box as mine unfortunately has kicked the bucket! I've been looking everywhere for one but unfortunately can't get one for a decent price! If anyone knows of a lupo 1.7 being sold for parts or even if a 1.7 gear box is going for sale can you please point them in my direction! Im not coping very well without my wee lupo Thanks!

Hey everyone new member from Wakefield I bought my first Lupo and its a 1.4 s in Jazz Blue! I was just wondering what to do with it, as in mods. I want to lower it and get some Weller Wheels for it! however im no good with the mechanical side of things and have no clue where to start! Do i lower the car first or put the new wheels on? I've been looking at some 7x13 Weller Wheels, would i need the arches rolling? LUPO.jpg here she is if the picture works, ive not come to grips on how to use this yet Help would be appreciated! Frudd!

Hi guys, The other night my 1999 lupo 1.4 sport battery died so today I gave it a full charge, checked all electrics, lights etc however the sunroof seemed to be dead when I turned the dial to open it. Maybe this could be a blown fuse or something I'm not to sure and need a few pointers Cheers guys, Piers

hi I have a lupo 1.4s with a ko3 turbo on it, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator up to 5bar, manual boost controller, front mount intercooler, spaced out spark plugs, and going to get lupo gti injectors and a new ecu when I find one, so I am looking at lowering the compression ratio on the engine it is at the standard 10.5 to 1 I have been told it needs to be 9 to 1 is the right? and how big of a shim will I need or can I put 2 gas kits in?

So I have a ko3 turbo on my lupo 1.4s 75bhp I am wanting to lower the compression ratio on it but not sore if to put 2 gas kits in or to get a shim made and how thick dose the shim need to be? To lower the ratio it is the standard 10.5 to 1 now been told I need it at 9 to 1 any help would be nice.

Hello! Bought this Lupo 1.0 on Monday as a first car. Its has been lowered and re-trimmed. I would like to add some things but it will be at a slow rate due to a rubbish weekend job These pictures are from the ad as i haven't had the time to take any yet Comments welcome! Thanks for reading, Matt

Right I need help as soon as possible as said in title! I was driving home from work today when my sisters bf noticed smoke coming from passenger footwell underneath the cubbyhole thingy... This place ----> Basically the wires on the left are boiling hot, and it absolutely stinks!! Does anyone know what this is, whys its happening and how to fix it??? Please please please please -
hi everyone, im new to the vw lupo, just bought one to try fix up, not bothered about how much its gonna cost to fix, its a project so heres my problems i have a similar problem as a previous post - Gearbox problems [uPDATED] Leaking! pics! ** same pics as this person but no putty stuff on mine also ** when i try to select a gear it doesnt work, only 3rd and 4th work if i try to select 1st, it then slides into the centre into 3rd if i try to select 2nd, it then slides into the centre into 4th i noticed the gear selector rod under the car, the socket had worn and the person had just cable tied it on got a new bit but still the same problem if you drive the car you can move off in 3rd, i have it up on ramps with the front bumper off at the moment so i can access it a bit better, im gonna remove the exhaust system next to get access to the gear selector cables as this might be my next part to check before replacing the gearbox i have the elsawin software for reference when taking the car apart please if anyone could help me get it touch cheers dave

Ok, so I brought some brake discs for my 1.4 16v thinking they were 240mm, however they turned out to be 256mm! I filtered the parts for my REG and it said that they would fit, and from a very quick read online apparently I will be able to fit the 256's. Can anyone confirm this so I don't have to go and buy some 240's now? Thanks from Lewis

this is my thread of my car! i've had my car since i was 15 and im now 18! so ive found some photos from ages ago to show how i got it and stuff! hope you enjoy ill keep you updated on new mods and general stuff! This is how i brought it for £150! the headgasket has gone and needs new brakes and lots more! i've already sprayed my badges and added a few stickers i got it off a old american guy! Lupos off to get fixed! and mot'ed had to higher it to fit on low loader! lupos back and on the road finally! so glad to be driving this now and not my mums renault megane that i wrote off a couple of weeks before i took this photo! and its clean! and ive took the number plate off whilst i get a new one! sold my old wheels and swapped for some steels! plans are to get them banded! plans went down for banded steels but got myself some bbs rz! 14" had to have tracking sorted and new wheel bearing! had to pull it in garage for new radiator fan and some more tweeking before Ultimate Dubs! nearly brought these! tried them on and everything but i wasnt sure!! yellow tinted my indicators! it was a bitch to do! fly eyed my side repeaters! Camber shims and bolts have arrived and new bolts too!!! i love my postman! NEW WHEELS!!!!!! 13" 7j Mambas! taking the piss to get them to fit! so I'm making my car fit the wheels! i love these so much! college carpark lupo and arosa love!

Does the Speedo on a lupo 1.0 go off the wheel or the transmission? If I put bigger wheels on will they effect my the speedo?

right this is my first post so here we go i currently have a 1.0 lupo E and i have just bought a gti rear bumper which i got to fit no problem but heres the massive problem it has a center exit exhaust and as far as my skills go there is no way i can fit a center exhaust peace on with the wheel well on my car being so low i got in touch with AAS and they wouldnt even touch it is there anyone on here that has done this or has any advice or ideas on how i can get this to work ? Thanks Martin

Hi guys im beginning to hate my lupo sport i have one of the dreaded ETB gearboxes. the car is popping out of reverse gear all other gears are working fine. is this an easy fix? are their any alternative gearboxes that will fit? the car? Thanks Erol

Hi Guys, I have been having an issue with the fan/heating on my Vw Lupo 1.4 16v petrol for a while. The problem only affects me in winter when it is very cold (unfortunately when the heating is most needed). It takes about 20-30 mins for the engine to warm up significantly to blow out warm air. Depending on how cold it is sometimes it takes longer or shorter times to heat up (as usual in winter) but it takes a lot longer than usual for the engine to heat up. As soon as I turn on the fan the engine loses heat as well as the fan blowing out progressively colder air. I have tried to get this fixed twice but mechanics cant seem to pinpoint the problem. The thermostat on the dashboard is even telling me the car is loosing heat, but it never overheats. I have plenty coolant and the mechanic told me i dont have any leaks. Any help regarding this issue would be great!!

Hi all, Recently bought a blupo! Anyone have any ideas where I could get some nice rims with tyres (probably second hand!). Not sure what size, width etc. I need, my boyfriend doesn't have a clue haha! Can anyone recommend Also is there any simple mods I can do to release more power from my 1.4?

Hello, Wondering about a 1.0 Lupo and a middle exhaust like the GTI version, i`m wondering if anyone has made there exhaust in the middle or have they put the gti bumpers on a non-gti lupo, this properly sounds stupid but if i could get any advice on this it would be great. Cheers
