Nice car used see it so often around leam heard it was up for sale an would have bought it but not long had my black sport, an dan who i work with has a white one so he would have hated it. Just a quick question can you still tilt the seats as my mate went an had a look an wasnt sure cause the hadles been deleted. I guess you can unclip it from bottom if needed?

150? surely a more powerful loop could beat that is this a 20v n/a engine? anyhow i do quite fancy a reet quick lupo but still weighing up the options

Talking 5k bear mininmum for the 1.8t but the way i look at it is if i spend 6k on it i will then have a car with a practically new bomb proof engine, new brakes and suspension and wheels which i have already done and the bodywork is gettin a bit done under warranty thanks VW . So think i could quite happily live with a lupo putting around 250bhp for a good few years.... Worth the investment?

Thinking of getting an engine conversion done as above can anyone recommend any good companies i've spoken to psi tuning already and its sounding like a possible option to go for the 1.8t. Just wondering if anyone has views of where to go good or bad. Preferably midlands though willing to travel if needed

Is this serious you want to make your car quicker without spending anything if you ask it really nicely it might go faster, if that doesn't work take out all of the interior just make sure you leave a seat and other essentials that should do it

Yes finally heard back about my claim and its got the go ahead just waiting for a free slot in the bodyshop to get it done. Will report back when its done

Keep a close eye on your level for a while i guess you dont check it that often. Mine uses a fair bit of oil and looks like its going to have new piston rings soon. Hope you dont have the same prob for reference mine has done about 60k

yeah plenty of alternatives but none like the BMC CDA its all about the carbon ftw

sounds like a plan, though i am tempted by an engine swap, but would really like to try and save this engine for now. Anyone know of good companies to use if i go down the swap route? ideally in the midlands/warwickshire

I miss the 1.8t power too had a mk4 gti but will hopefully have one in the loop one day
