Had a great weekend in general. Good to meet a few of the clublupo camp. Ended up parking my car with OPS as we had a go at the show and shine. Again shame about the few that ruined it for some i did see two guys fighting last night which i wouldn't expect from this kind of show. Also think someones car got crashed into in the campsite? from the d**kheads that decided to go racing round the field. Overall Fun times

Good work! Nice to see that i'm not the only one that has had their bathroom flood lately. Mine is directly above the kitchen and the ceiling decided to give way about 1am one night after what must have been a slow build up over some time. I must say artex can hold alot of water! Long story short thanks to insurance eventually all is pretty much back to normal apart from a few tiles i need to finish off and no more artex. These things are sent to test us. keep up the good work

"My current 3 cylinder doesn't drink a drip of oil. Water comes out the exhaust." Don't those 3 cylinder engine run on water anyhow

From speaking to a local vw specialist there are good and bad engines something to do with the quality of materials they use for the internal seals, rings etc. He seemed to think that some engine codes seemed to be more reliable than others. From speaking to other members on here also it seems that a few of the AFK models were not too good (like mine going at 64k) Whereas my friends has something like 80k and no sign of any problems (different code). But i've run in my engine fully and done a few miles since the rebuild and all seems to be good. In fact best its run in my ownership.... Though saying that mine was getting the black deposits on the back from when i got it though didnt think much of it to start with. So i guess the previous owner must have known. Knowing what the problem was i thought it was best i got it sorted and stick with the car rather than sell it on and pass on the problem. Hope this helps in some way, Sam.

Most probably piston rings i have just had the same problem with mine was putting around half a litre in every week, had the black deposits up the back of the car and milage was only 60k. ended up getting a full engine rebuild as i didn't want to let the car go. Now runs better than it ever has, If you do i'd reccomend the engine shop. Sam

Not too sure obviously the owner has put a lot of time and money into this car. Personally i prefer the more subtle and understaded look but thats the good thing about modifying cars the choices are endless

Replace the switch think they are about £9.00 from gsf and its the usual problem though they normally just stop altogether but it'll be cheaper than letting VW loose on it
-
would i need any additional parts to do this conversion to a sport or is it literally just carriers and disks, then use standard calipers? Cheers Sam
