Meh. If its not a show car does a fractional shade difference matter? In most cases people wouldn't even notice. Its not something I would ever do, but I prefer the Arosa front ends.
-
Not if your donor Lupo is the same colour as your Arosa!
-
I would try a little bit and see his bad it is. Just gently heat a corner with a hair dryer and peel it back to see what its like.

99 octave burns cleaner, if anything it should help. When was the last time you serviced it? You won't need to replace the throttle body with a new one. You can clean it out with good old carb cleaner. Clean the egr valve if your car has one at the same time. (This advice is a bit rich coming from me as I still need to do it Haha, been saying I'm going to for about 3 months Haha.)

Wheels definitely look better!

Looks pretty good! I like the Up! but if I was buying New I would Probably go for a Seat Version instead.

Yup that was the one I was talking about Defcon5.

Looks great! Love the rear shot.

I read somewhere about using corsa coilovers on the back (the spring over shock ones, not the seperate shock and spring ones). I assume as the shocks work that the coilovers would, but can't confirm this.

Get the G60's banded!
-
Looks great, and in the best colour bit spacing on the wheels will look awesome!

Looks great. Wish I could be arsed to properly clean mine. -
I rather like it (ebay link one). Needs some of the stickers removing and some stretch but I would definitely rock it!

You sorting out the Reg Placement. Its the one and only thing about this car that just doesn't sit right with me. Can't wait to see the progress. I have no doubt you'll pull out something special!

Today was a day off work and I was around at the 'rents. My brother has recently sold his Passat and the wheels from it were sitting in the Back Garden Staring at me. So I thought it would be rude not to try them: Apologies. The car is filthy after going to the Girlfriends and back over the weekend (250 Miles each way!) and the wheels need a clean and refurb. They sit brilliantly, and the back would be even better with my 10mm Spacers in but I'm skint Popped into my mates though and he gave me these: Very tempted just to buy the ATS' off my brother though! I'm sure I have overtime coming up

Most people claim 10hp and 25nm of Torque increase, so not to bad. I guess a de-cat and a decent enclosed filter with a cold air feed could release another couple of HP. Guess its quite a bit of money for less than 15hp but it could be done. I like the turbo idea.

I don't see what the big deal is about engine converting. I have a Base Spec 1.0 Arosa and I'd much rather put a Polo GTI Engine (or more likely a 1.6 8v) in it than buy a GTI. Different Strokes for Different Folks. Some people just like the cars they own.

You can get an SDI Remapped. Also as its a diesel you can lose the CAT as well which should help. Wish I had an SDI Arosa and not a 1.0 but they seem to really hold their price. Saw a Mk1 Arosa the same as mine but 1.7 SDI for £1700!! Had over 100k on it as well!

Gearbox thats attached to the PY won't fit, well it will but it takes a bit of work. However internals can be transfered into your original Gearbox which bolts to the engine. Mounts should be similar/the same as a 1.4 8v. Its a conversion i've looked into, but the price of the engines put me off.

I was gutted when they didn't mine and I had to sell them! Will have to have a photo shoot once my car is looking a little tidyer.

Looks great! I really love your roof! I have a roll of Black Vinyl that I want to chequer my roof with. Have no idea where to start haha.

I'll read this with Interest! I would love to G40 mine!

Any problems with it not starting when warm? My temp sensor was faulty. It told the ECU that the engine was cold when it wasn't and it meant I used a lot of fuel and it wouldn't start when it was warm.

Looks good! As has been said nice to see more Mk1's turning up.
