  1. Super tidy that mate! You're gonna miss those wheels when you sell them.
  2. I'm sure something can be arranged... to whom should I make the invoice out? DE-CAT De-Cat de-cat
  3. If anyone wants any bits from Awesome bringing to edition 38, just let me know and I'll get you sorted

    GTi remap

Yes but to be completely honest, Jeff (our Mapper/Special Projects technician) much prefers mapping a car which has some modifications as it gives more to calibrate to. You've hit the nail on the head Steve! at certain points in the rev range you may gain about 10-15bhp, yet your peak might not gain a massive amount.

    GTi remap

To be fair, Regardless of Stand alone management or standard engine management, If its having a re-map then it needs to go on a rolling road. Without a rolling road, remapping becomes a minefield of misinformation. The rolling road is required to see exactly what the car is doing under different load conditions, see exactly what the air fuel ratio is and get the calibration spot on. As for the Lupo GTI standard ECU, You can't just flash it as it will not accept a re-code. These cars require a physical chip change during the remap process. We've found out of the three Lupo GTI's and 5 Polo GTI (1.6 16v) we've done, they require about 4 hours on the rollers to get the calibration spot on. P.S. Anyone with the Equipment can do it, But only the people with the Equipment, The background knowlege and the experience in map calibration can do it right.
  6. I'd have done it for you for an extra £20 lol. Took me about 4 hours to do mine back in the day... Used a soldering iron I replaced the bulb with an Osram Diadem one but had to file one of the bayonettes off the bulb
  7. That's lovely that is Matt Sold the GTI Yet ?
  8. Nothing available at the moment mate, but If I come across one I'll let you know.
  9. This is going to be one and only occasion I say this about a Petrol car, but: DE-CAT DE-CAT DE-CAT! The VR6's seem to thrive on the removal of the cat, and the sound will be so nice you won't stop touching yourself lol... Cone filter, Cat-back and De-cat pipe alongside a map should see you somewhere within the region of 190bhp. We have seen 200bhp before but that particular engine seemed to be up on power to begin with. Ashley performance do a nice manifold for circa £250 which will also help it "Exhale" a bit better and help make the most of the engine before remapping!
  10. I reckon you should drive it round with odd tail lights!
  11. It may be worth speaking to Luke (VWR Lupo) as I think he had the exact same fault on his 1.4 16v Fabia.
  12. You know you're a lupo driver when you sell your lupo and then want to buy it back 3 years down the line!
  13. IIRC you need a 63mm 90º Bend.
  14. I usually blame the mouse when something doesn't do what I ask it to on my computer lol.
  15. The sound on the 007p is only "Chavy" if you fit it backwards. If fitted the right way round, It's normally silent when used in conjunction with the standard airbox, or has a barely noticeable sound when used in conjunction with an Open cone filter.
  16. I remember we sold one of these Splitter R valves to a man in Greece a while back, here is a message he sent us shortly after receiving the part: To say the least we found it quite funny, especially the fact he'd decided to sell it to his mate because he didn't like it.
  17. Want me to have a look and see what we've got lying around?
  18. In that case you'll need to get it machined out to 57.1mm I can only work with the info I'm given luke
  19. Squirrels are pretty cool...
  20. You'll need to get some Spiggot rings made up to reduce the centre bore down from 66.5mm to 57.1mm The wheels will sit too far inside the arch unless you use the spacers.
  21. What PCD ? What Centre Bore ? As long as it is 4x100 fitment and with a centre bore of 57.1mm it will be fine with a 12mm spacer. However, Hubcentric wheel spacers are not cheep these days.
  22. You should only really need the headlight level switch set to point down if you are carrying heavy weight in the boot.
