  1. Steady 45mpg from my GTI, only ever use Shell and drive round most of the time like a granny. 60mph max on motorways. never put more than £20 in at a time, if i do the mpg goes wayward!
  2. Does anyone know what these wheels are? Polo gti 6n2?
  3. 1800 miles!! That is That is ridiculous!!!! I'd be keeping it in the garage for a few years if mine was as low as that.
  4. Hahaha sorry I did not mean to offend!
  5. Still have the GTI Joti. Just was never really bothered with it when i had the bike. 100% attention on the car now!
  6. Though i'd update this thread since it hasn't been touched in a while. Haven't really been interested in cars the last two years, got my self in the two world scene and bought a Yamaha R6, lovely bike, fast, scary and simply a joy to ride anywhere. ...however it has now gone. Had only done 90 miles since October last year so was just sitting in the garage wasting money. Time to get back to 4 wheels sit in massive traffic queues and wait until I have no hair, I am fat and middle aged to get back on two wheels.
  7. I've had AP's on my GTI for two years now can't fault them. Also had them on the 1.4 Lupo, were a lot harder on the standard Lupo as opposed to the GTI.
  8. 2002 with 35k, that is insane. Must not be a daily then?
  9. Good to know I have plenty life left then, as long as I watch the oil etc. My brother recently ran his until there was no oil left and now it just sits on the drive as it is pretty much broke, oil spews out of the exhaust!!
  10. I got mine from the stealers. Re-fitted and sealed every gap possible, never had any problems since.
  11. IIRC I remember seeing peoples with 100,000+. I know the story, I will get rid and regret doing so.
  12. Hello all, Just wondering for those of you who have a GTI what is your current mileage? Mines kicking onto 80,000 in the next couple of weeks and wondering whether it is time to move on or if there is still plenty life left!! Been looking at EP3 Civic Type R's over the past month but not sure if I am really ready to give up the GTI. Can't seem to find any car that I like as much as the Lupo. Be interesting to hear peoples thoughts.

    lupo gti

My car on the right (pre-coilovers) my brothers on the left. Two silver's although his is moon silver and mine is reflex.
  18. ^^^^ That is exactly what I did when I went to look at mine.
  19. According to parkers: Independent Dealer £5,245 Private Good £4,255 Private Poor £2,825 Part Exchange £3,215 Possibly a bit more over the above since it has low miles for that year. Hope that helps.
  20. What's up with the Clio? or do you just fancy a change of scenery? http://www.dubberssportsvws.co.uk/vw-stock/ These have 3 in a bit closer to you and there always getting gti's in stock.
  21. Thanks marcus, did you grease up your ap's when you put them on? I never did it on the last lupo but I never adjusted them, thinking I may play around with the height in the future!
  22. Micp don't know if you've read the whole thread but I got it from Stockton pretty local to you. When I was looking this was the closest one I could find, I think with gtis you have to accept that you may have to travel some distance if you want a good example. Yeah certainly enjoying it too, spent a fair bit on it actually not that I've modified it much.
  23. Thanks penry, I'll have a look at them once the hand is all sorted.
  24. Cheers richie, I suppose it does have to be drivable, good job there are no speed ramps round mine too.
