i'm looking to take my dvds and put them on my ipod. i was just wondering what programs people used to do it? i've tried a couple that a found whilst surfing the nerd, but none of them are particulary good, can anyone recommend what they use?

did you run the wires for the voltmeter all the way to the battery? what about the lights in the doorhandles, how are they powered? your car is fantastic

no need for snipping anything if you plug has terminals. just swap them over

when my alternator went, like you it wasnt charging the battery. i had the abs light, engine check light and airbag, aswell as the battery light and stuff. i then took it out for a spin and jammed the break on and noticed i had no abs. i took the alternator out and gave it to a an old man who live local to fix. its usually just the diodes that blow, only cost me 50 quid to get fixed (even though the diodes will cost about 20 pence lol). tbh i don't think your bulb in the dash would have blown, but i'm not sure. like i said, electrical things stopped working on my car, maybe the same with yours?

Running wire from engine bay to cabin
ArosaScotty replied to And1Lupo's topic in Interior and In-Car Entertainment
think at the back right hand side of the engine bay is where the wires go into the back of the dash theres like a grommet you might need to open a smidge. trying to fish wires from behind the dash can be a laugh -
i got my ticket last year. there are loads of tickets floating round just now, i think alot of people bought them as an investment but can't shift them now

well i bought it for a tenner from gamestation today and the same thing has happened again. thats well ghey! i've search on the net, it recommended turning off antivirus and trying to install it, this didnt work. i've dossed around with other things too, i put it in my dads laptop and it gets past the point were mines does, so i can only assume its got something to do with the install shield or drivers. error message:could not utilize start class: com.installshield.wizard.Wizard

i've just been sick in my mouth

i've got vista, although my mates got vista too, so it should work. which makes me think its the drivers or something? fingers crossed adamK logs on

i got a copy of football manager from someone at work, aswell as a crack so you don't need to use the disc. i go to install it and it get, could not utilize start class:com.installshield.wizard.Wizard. anyone point me in the right direction?

you need a valid MOT at all times. but its only a 70 quid fine if your caught, i've done it before and been ok
-
a good tip is to get a bit pipe that slides over the bulb, quite snug. which would stop you from breaking it

thanks geezer and jon for your replies. vw want 350 for doing the whole thing. i could buy the parts and have them fitted for £200. i suppose i'll ask him to adjust the belt whilst he's there. if anyone else knows how to adjust the alternator belt in the mean time i'd love to know!
-
my alternator belt is slipping too. usualy the alternators are on a hinge so you can adjust them. but on the arosa its fixed, i'm assuming there is a tensioner somewhere, how do i adjust it?
