Cooper, still no luck with getting them sorted out then?

Itb's are where things become difficult, especially with the Gti. You would need to convert to cable throttle and then run a standalone Ecu. There is a Gti running cams on here, we're the first set made for the Gti engine by catcams, there were a few issues I'm told, just waiting for results from a remap now

Itb's and cams with all the rest of the mods will see you about 165. 140 is achievable with a exhaust and induction system coupled to a remap. John

Well to be honest ive never timed it to be honest, that was a total guess. Taking a FWD car in to the high 4's low 5's is quite difficult, we will see when ive rebuilt it -

Marketplace Changes - Classifieds section in development
CasperGTI replied to CasperGTI's topic in Drivers Lounge
Are you in the classifieds section or in the marketplace? Classifieds section is accessed from the top menu bar. Or if you read the announcements section there is a link to it. -
That is the crankshaft sensor, it will be somewhere along the join between the block and gearbox, on the Gti its on the back Of the engine, a bit of a pig to reach. You should be able to follow the wiring back to it. And p.s please don't use caps Thanks John
-
If it's the same sort of thing as the Gti the trigger wheel is push fit on to the crank, there's two bolt holes that you put a bolt in to which pushes the seal and housing off the block as you wind the bolts in. Iirc, it has to be done fairly square or you can damage the seal ring which requires a special press too to fit a new one. John

Does it smell like cat piss? If it does then its gearbox oil, if it doesn't then its the crankshaft sealing ring.

Marketplace Changes - Classifieds section in development
CasperGTI replied to CasperGTI's topic in Parts For Sale
Ok, so before the internet the only way to sell things was to place an advert in a local magazine/newspaper, or leave an advert in a corner shop. You wouldn't put no contact number on that would you? How would they ever contact you if you didnt, so this is the way it is going to stay. The rule is we want a contact number, so that is the rule. If your not happy with it then please use some other way of selling your item. We are trying to make it safer when it comes to buying things for all our members so thats the way it is going to be I'm afraid. John -

I will quote two extracts from the DPA for you regarding the definition of processing, and the conditions of processing. I hope this helps you understand. I hope this makes it clear for you. Regarding the "threat" i appreciate this is the internet and things are easily perceived in the front context. I apologise for getting the wrong end of the stick. Regards John
