* SOUTH WALES MEET - LOCATION CHANGE *
Sarah_Diamond replied to elliecjno1's topic in Ireland, Wales and the Westcountry
Is anyone really against it being the 7th then? I can't think of anything that could stop this from being a better date? -
Is this a very easy job guys? I'm looking to get my front bumper sorted before Ultimate Dubs and as far as I can see it's only the lower part that needs a respray. I've found one on ebay for £55+postage but would prefer to be able to remove the one I have, give it to a bodyshop and go back and pick it up lol. No point having 2! Any help/comments/advise would be appreciated Cheers guys x

HELP! Admiral refusing to insure coilovers
Sarah_Diamond replied to Taxi Adam's topic in Volkswagen Lupo
Sorry to rain on your parade Adam, great that you've got the quote for it (the guy you spoke to yesterday was talking out of his ar$e lol), but your Coilies are not insured to be replaced. You will be insured but the car will be put back to standard in the event of an accident. If you have taken out extra modifications cover (an ancillary which costs you more on your annual policy) then you may be able to claim the cost of the modification however it wouldn't be a repair, it would be a cash sum for you to replace the mods. I suggest you check your small print or feel free to pm me or email me as I'm a bit busy in work at the moment and can't do as much browsing as I'd like. For the record, my job is in the Accident Loss dept of Admiral lol -
I understand the point you're trying to make Jamie, but sometimes I'd rather pay a bit extra and get something interesting. There's only so many pints of coke you can drink if a) You're playing Designated Driver or b ) You simply don't drink. If c) you can't afford to drink then stick to tap water or squash, but frankly, that's as boring as sitting at home on your own lol

We officially need to organise something down in South Wales when the weather stops being so pants lol!

Yeah that's the one Rhys. Even if we went to Pencoed it would be central for everyone

We could do something though, at least try it lol. Could always just take over the Harvester at J36 lol

Hey guys, there's more and more people popping up on here from around these parts! I spend a fair amount of time in Bridgend these days, should arrange a mini meet lol

Please Delete (Now am insured on my own Policy)
Sarah_Diamond replied to Thissy's topic in Automotive Chat
Mike, I work for a well known Insurance company and to be honest, coming on here and getting sarcy with someone isn't the best way to go about things. I know Ashley's not given you the answer you were hoping for but we are trying to help you. On topic, I agree with Phil, my first car was a Nova and I was on my mum's policy. Unfortunately when it came to getting my own insurance I was still quoted £1210 with Norwich Union as a 19yr old girl on a 1.4S 75bhp Lupo - and girls apparently get cheaper insurance! This was reduced to £795 with my pass plus, but this was also when pass plus cost a fair amount and was worth more than the paper it was written on. Ultimately, if you're looking to get insured on a car and have your mum/dad as the main Policyholder and your insurance find out in the event of an accident you are screwed. There are no two ways about it. If the car's registered in your name or the payments come out of your account or any other reason they can find they will chuck your claim out. I've seen it happen, I've had to tell people we're not dealing with their claim and offer to get their tangled heap of metal that used to be their car delivered back to them with no money for repairs. Good luck with getting a car that you enjoy and you can afford but I'd say to buy a cheap car and run that around for the first year or two, then get a better car - lupo/arosa if you wish and don't lose sight of your goal. A cheap first car is a means to an end really, it sounds like a complete cliche but it will feel so much better when you've bought and insured your own car with your own money and you're happy with it. Hope this helps! -
Welcome along mate, I assume you're from the newport area also? Ellie, drag him along next weekend, the more the merrier as they say

"saynoto0870.com" have this number for sky 01506 421898 Try that Nicki. I'm afraid I can't help with your sky issue as mine failed once due to a powercut but I just took the card out and switched it off and on at the wall (on the plug not the box) and put the card back in and it's worked. But mine's also been connected to the phoneline since it was installed as that's what the bloke told me, just to leave it plugged in Good Luck though x

did the wheels look like starlites? If so that would've been Ash, I believe he might be on here but I only met him for the first time last week, sure Ellie will confirm though if it would've been Ash, she knows him better than I do. I do remember him saying he lives in Caerleon though. Where are you from then mate?

I've got RA's and the offset was different. Had to buy extended bolts from PRI Racing but then it ended up fouling the drums on the back so I've had to put spacers on. Best bet is to wait for someone else to reply sorry, Mine was a rush job and I don't think I did my calculations right. If you know the offset, post it up and someone'll be along shortly to answer your question i'm sure
