  1. Mine has a loud knocking noise when I start it up, gets a little quieter when it warms up but tis always there. ive just changed the oil and filters aswell.
  2. nice leathers what else you got carbon dipped apart from lightswitch and mirrors? how much was it aswell?
  3. Right so I've finally decided to get round to taking this Sportex exhaust vid haha! It's a luke warm start and you'll have to excuse the poor video quality, don't have the best camera in the world unfortunately Just a heads up, the video doesn't do the exhaust any justice and it sounds sooo much nicer after a hot start or good drive, it just makes everything burble so much more and a lot nicer!! This is also with a standard paper air filter aswell.. http://s1151.photobucket.com/user/gatesy0093/media/DSCF4509_zpsbb2ec9f2.mp4.html (Sorry for the link, I don't know how to get vids on here from photobucket, is it just the same as pics?) Also any tips on changing this fuel filter, much appreciated Joe.
  4. lovely i would keep the sunstrip. liking the steering wheel too
  5. Right so just done a little service with some lovely castrol magnatec, oil filter and air filter, this is the old one after 1 year (Pics don't show how bad it actually is) so basically all i have left to do is the fuel filter which after going through my service book im pretty sure it hasnt been shanged in the last 14 years haha, anyway, i was just wondering where it is and how to get to it? is it straight forward to do? Cheers guys!

    Air Filter

is the round K&N air filter for the 1.0 arosa worth getting? even if it is just for some noise i know it can be washed. any gains? or might you just as well drill some holes in the airbox on the outside of the filter?
  7. so its not to do with that black round panel underneath the rear seats? and would this be the thing im replacing http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seat-Arosa-Comline-Fuel-Filter-Genuine-OE-Spec-Service-Part-Replacement-New-/111040755419?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ASeat%7CModel%3AArosa%7CCars+Type%3A1.0&hash=item19da8b76db
  8. possibly, but i thought the rear lights are slightly different shapes? might just be my eyes though
  9. Yeah I usually run BP Ultimate if the pump is free, probably 50/50 between normal and unlimited. I was planning on changing the air filter, oil filter. How easy is the fuel filter to replace? and what type of oil should i use?
  10. Right so the Arosa is in need of a service. I'll probably end up doing it myself. I know which filters to buy but was just wondering on the oil to use? It's just coming up to 100k miles, I changed the filters and oils when I got it and the plugs and leads last summer. Also it's using a bit more fuel recently, do you think a oil & filter might sort it out? Cheers, Joe
  11. yeah my mk1 arosa never has dinged or anything if i leave my lights on
  12. if its the handle keep coming off, mine did this and some super glue has sorted it right out
  13. Well I still haven't done much to the Arosa, but Easter Friday gave me a chance to give a good clean, its first wax of the year and some very blue pictures Finally used my Christmas present. Blue! Reflective And some from my girlfriends house
  14. Cheers silver! I suppose it's not too shabby for a farmers daily haha
  15. Well here they are... Pics as promised Testing out the focus button on my iPod haha
  16. Well after not being on for a while I thought I should revive some life back into this haha. Not much happening but I did get some good news in that the grinding noise has stopped, haven't heard it in ages so I assume that it was just a stone as cold, hard frosty weather and rough farm tracks must of dislodged it from somewhere. Also, the 1 litre beast has been allowed its first polish of the year Didn't have time to get the wax out but it shall happen soon Pics to follow as soon as my internet speed picks up and makes it worth while :/ Joe
  17. you know your apparently suppose to break them in for like 50 odd miles before you do any hard breaking, not just 15mins round town
  18. why not buy a lupo and just buy a mk1 arosa bootlid of the same colour...
  19. Where is it it at?
  20. Oh yes! thats what i use you should be able to get two coats of snowfoam on ya car if ya careful, just means its on there for that little bit longer
