Ive been driving for 4 years ,3 points for doing 91 in a 70 and 6 points for doing 58 in a 30.

i also have this problem, im going to get new plugs and leads and see if it sorts it, if you find out what it is could you please let me know. cheers

i got my cambelt and waterpump done at Halifax Volkswagen in Shelf, it cost £305, my other quotes from Otley VW and Skipton VW were £380.

i had a similar problem to this, it turned out to be that the pipe from the sunroof drainer had come off , and the water was running onto the electrics in the passenger foot well , and now my central locking doesn't work.

it looked to have bucket seats, i could be wrong though.

Seen you pulling out of petrol station nr M1 friday morning around 8ish

i will have a look at that 2moro cheers, sometimes the central locking works, but the majority of the time it doesn't

ive cleaned the pipes out with a air hose and re sealed the pipes, but a little bit of water is still coming in occasionaly

Ive had 2 GTi's and both have done it.

still have'nt sorted mine out, but when i had a look the other day i found water was running down the passenger door pillar from the sunroof, and leaking into the wires on the left hand side of the footwell. I sorted this problem and dried it out, but the alarm is stiil going off when i use the central locking.

after locking car the alarm goes off after 20 seconds and i have to leave the car unlocked. Has anyone had this problem or knows what the problem is? cheers michael

Mine sometimes leaks in and i have a sunroof, it never used to happen on my old GTI.

saw you driving through town, then saw you again about an hour later driving past my house, its on a cobbled road that goes up to Long Lee.
