  9. Hi bud, 1. Starter motor is very noisy on start up when cold - winds itself on for a couple of seconds 2. Drivers window sometimes wont go back up unless you do it in stages I have the same problems. With the starter motor, turn it to the first stage then wait 2 seconds & turn it all the way. Mine has been like that since I bought it. Driverside window, tried a few different thing to no avail & then decided it give the car a bit of a personality & gave up. Regards Angelo
  10. The lad I box with works on the the door at Longlegs, a strip cub in manchester. I am 29 so it is not much of an appeal to me any more when i go for a drink after work, most of the guys in there are just having a laugh. You get the odd one that is a bit of a werdo but thats it. The more attractive / friendly girls earn up to £1000 a night on a friday and saturday but most make £600. I know as they normally try and give you a £20 note for walking them to the car as every now and agin someone trys to mug them. When I was younger & had hair we used to go once or twice month, it was just a laugh to watch your mate squirm while they are haiving a dance. I even took my dad to one while we were on holiday last year for his birthday, ( he is single) paid for two girls to dance for him. right laugh, then he told me about him going to simlar places when he was in the army. I always tell my girlfriend when i have one what I am up to! just makes life easyer in the long run. It just a bit of fun at the end of the day, just dont go crazy buying dances!
  11. Well I leave my current job on Monday, so my boss is being a complete t@~t as he is having to do some work!!
  12. That would be sound if you could mate. Revotec sell all the bit seperatly so I can mix and match although I dont think there will be much difference if any on the power fron but every bit helps! I might even relocate the foam filter itself but after looking at the engine bay there is not really much space apart from where the battery point is on the nearside headlight. Regards Angelo
  13. Ill be there on the Sunday Regards Angelo
  14. I am guessing no one has used these products, I'll let you know how I get on. Regards Angelo
  15. Did anyone take a run up the strip last year? Really fancy giving it a blast this year
  16. Hi all, I have a pipercross induction kit on my lupo GTI. I am going to fit a cold air feed sometime in the next few weeks. Pipercross do a trumpet and pipe kit, £25, 750mm * 100ml Revotec also do a trupet kit (revotec.com) looks good qualty, £40 1m * 102mm Anyone had any experiance with either item? Is 750mm long enough? Making brackets is not a problem as i have access to a fabrication shop, prefer the sound of the pipercross to the BMC so thats why I am not changing, A bit off topic but has anyone had any experiance of the Viper kit that pipercross are selling now. Regards Angelo
  17. A new compressor from VW is in the region of £110.00. I would rcomend getting a spare bathurst alloy, I got mine of here for £30.00. very handy to have, keep it in the garage. Its cheeper to get someone to go to you house & bring it to you 9 time out of 10 as once you use the tyre foam your tyre is usless. You also dont have a jack in the car! Keep an eye on the for sale section mate. Regards Angelo
  18. Bought it at xmass for my younger brothers, i am shocking at it while thay can play though most songs on medium, they are only 8 & 6 there finger cant even fit over all of the button. very very addictive
  19. I purchase my consuable car parts from VW. mainly because I get them at a much reduced rate. Oil filter was £2.50. I change the oil every 6000 miles or every six month. Used to run a forced indution car so its a habit. I also have a tame mechanic who carries this out for me for next to nothing. Nfbr can attain to my limited knowhow when it comes to my car. Regards Angelo
  20. I keep a some cunningly shaped welding rod in the boot for removing the centre caps
  21. Sorry mate, I ended up with 2 sets of caliper carriers not the callipers themselves. Just need to stip them & paint them. While I have everything apart I was going to upgrade the pads. Standard pads are around £25 EBC are £55ish and Pagid around £70ish. not spent to much time searching so I am sure I can find them cheaper. Not in any rush, as I am having the bodywork tarted up as the passenger door has dropped & a new windscreen fitted once the weather is better. Brake dust is not really an issue as my wheels are black, but I am looking to do a few track days this year as I am keeping the car. So any comments regarding your experience with aftermarket pads would be appreciated along with if it worth the added cost over the original items.
  22. This is a really dumb question, but what size, model type did you buy the pads for. Golf G60 or Lupo GTI.
  23. I have the calipers (Finally) and some new standard G60 brake disks. What are the best pads to use, is it worth upgrading to something like EBC brake pads. I am in no rush as I have yet to refurbish my caliper carriers. Regards Angelo
