I had one laying around and taking the button out is easy, pull the little shelf thing what is above the face plate (have a fuzzy on what it's called) then there should be some torque screws what holds the plate with the heated window bla bla bla unbolt and it should pop out, think I paid £3 for mine.

Could be vauxhall fitment as I had the same problem but they will go on if you tighten the bolts up but getting them off is another ball park!!!!
