the normal plates were put on the car for the MOT. i drove round shrewsbury for 6 months with them on and never got pulled though.

those megs polishers aint cheap!! lol is it something that would require doing often? or is it something that once done once can be kept on top of with the normal wash, polish and wax??

how decent a machine polisher is required? Halfords special do the trick? as i have one of them that i was going to use, just dont know what to use it with. lol

there will be a divider in between the two standard units. it all depends on whether the new unit has locators on the back that will line up with the 2 points left when you remove the old units. if they do then a cage shouldnt be required at all to be honest

id imagine vw do a double din sleeve that would locate into the two points that are left behind when you remove the stereos. was the lupo available with sat nav from new? there may even be a lupo specific one if so.

im 99% certain the bonnet is a straight swap. im sure people have replaced there gti bonnets with standard ones in the past to weld on extensions etc
