Are you after an oem vw unit? Or an aftermarket double din jobby, or an iPad install? You won’t have to worry about can bus as the lupo doesn’t support it.

What is the box from? You say it’s on a cable, if you disconnect the cable from the box is the lever on the box easy to operate?

Yeah I’d def just get rid if going for a cleaned bay, I guess the loom and ecu could get stashed behind the dash.

Surely if you need to tow stuff you just buy one car that can tow easily, you don't need to own a fleet of vehicles for a specific purpose.
