Are these really desirable then? I must admit, they didn't strike me as particularly special when I first looked at them. Pete, I must have no taste
-
OK, so if I simply replace the drop down compartment with one from the newer style Lupo, what should I do with the hazard and Demister, mount them below?

Right..tdi or petrol? What u guys think?

Bear in mind SDI cost less to buy -

the SDI can overtake, sort of lol, although I imagine the 1.4S is pretty nippy when it comes to it -
Uhmm, not seen a full set, just packs of two, but I think I'll go for the bulbs rather than LEDs lol.
-
Cool! Did you use proper bulbs then, or LEDs?

Audio won't make a blind bit of difference unless it's something out of this world. If stickers void your insurance I've been driving round uninsured for the last 3 years because I put a Club Lupo sticker above the Lupo logo and also a Quicksilver sticker in the rear window. Not sure about the boot build, depends how visible it is I guess to thieves. Can't see why it's necessary to declare a debadge, but it might be worth asking.

Hey hey, Two of the bulbs in the High Level Brake Light have packed up (not a GTI). When I removed it (with some bloody difficulty), it seems that it can't be opened ? Or if it can, it's not straightforward. Has anyone else been able to do this? If so... how lol? Also... I've been looking for replacement bulbs and I found these two links http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Osram-Ultra-Life-3rd-High-Level-Brake-Light-501-W5W-T10-Bulbs-/350682173027?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ALupo&hash=item51a6494e63 and http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5x-VW-Lupo-501-W5W-LED-Red-High-Level-Brake-Lights-Bright-Rear-Upgrade-Bulbs-/390525742745?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ALupo&hash=item5aed25ee99 Has anyone tried the LED ones? I'd prefer the LED ones as they are less likely to blow when vibrating but it's strange they are only selling 5 when the Lupo requires 6??? The fact you can buy the bulbs surely means it's not a sealed unit, I just can't find out how to get it open :S

V-Reg Lupo, I only have the single DIN slot cup holder. I spotted a HOW TO on the archive for fitting Twin Cup Holders underneath, is this a realistic possibility? Has anyone done this? On my old Lupo, I had vent fitted cup holders but they were a bit shakey : Recommendations

Bit of a silly question this is as the 1.4s goes for much less than the TDi, surely the cost is a big factor to you? -
There's one on ebay right now for £9.99 I think

Matt is that your Lupo there, with the moon? No offence if it is (I know you said it looks gash), but that really doesn't look good. Just looks so after-thought'ish. I'd just stick with the front badge and maybe de-badge the back lol but up to you. Doubt you'd warp the bonnet. The metal isn't that thin, it's just a bit thinner than the rest. It shouldn't warp it whatsoever and I'd be very worried if it did.

I'm going to fix mine on my new Lupo eventually. Currently they quite regularly stop half way down the screen when on the single wipe every 5 seconds or whatever it is called. Right pain in the **** to be honest, luckily it isn't consistently doing it otherwise I'd get right brassed off.
-
Yup, too often this is the case.
-
No doubt It's all part of the fun. My new Lupo has red door trim and red wing mirrors which are nice and I really like it, but I have turned into a right paranoid with regards to scratching them. I'm dead scared now that someone will knock the nice trim or nice wing mirrors whereas before I really wasn't lol because it was black, cheap and easy to replace.
-
I park as far away as I can do, but they aren't bad to leave on. Plus they aren't exactly an eye sore, I'd be more inclined to say black wing mirrors are the nasty part of the Lupo E.
-
Because it'd look rubbish without them, and they actually add some protection :|
-
Why would you remove them?

CB radio how to fit and repair?
Skezza replied to nellytheelephant's topic in Interior and In-Car Entertainment
Definitely and it works well, until a repeater is set up, then all that encryption ain't worth ****, and they usually distribute via the Internet. There's quite a lot of repeaters for London, and the South. Not many up north, I think there is one setup for SYP none in the Midlands. I don't know the repeaters are setup but they do exist and there are a few popping up. There is an app for Android I believe that you can listen to some of them, although these might just be CB radios. -
Lupoboz ain't trading no more.
-
How did it get damaged lol!! I think eBay or a scrapper perhaps?
-
Yes. One of the big things with Lupos is HT leads packing up, i think this can lead to arc'ing.
