TomShazam
So, the poor little engine in my 1.0 Lupo is on its last legs. And rather than trading her in for a new cari want to change the engine. Too many memories and all that. But, as I'm sure everyone's aware 1.0 engines are like rocking horse **** to find, and also not giving me enough go. So my question is, I'm planning to source and put in a 1.2. I'll obviously change the clutch plate too but is there anything else that'll need changing? Engine mounts etc. Or is it a straight swap?Cheers,Tom
Owen33
I think 1.2s are harder to find than 1.

Pete91
I don't think lupos ever had 1.2 engines.
Defcon5
I don't think lupos ever had 1.2 engines. The 3L was a 1.2 TDI, but I cant imagine the OP is condsidering that
Pete91
Forgot about the 3L. Yeah if he thinks 1.0's are hard to find then there's not much hope for a 3L engine.
lupogtiboy
probably be better off trying to get a 1.0 polo engine and swap that over....
