Heater dials lights gone

its a bulb behind the speed control dial, pull the control nob towards you and you'll see the offending bulb, get a length of vacuum hose push over the bulb and it will pop out of its holder. Don't be tempted to use long nose pliers as you'll break the glass. its a 286 5mm capless bulb

I've had my GTI for 7 years and the bulb has never worked. I have a bulb, but just never seem to find the time...


Use a small piece of tube to remove\refit the bulb.

When I got my lupo the light didn't work!

Very easy fix just pull the middle button out & change the bulb takes no time at all!

Thanks for help everyone was a stupid thing my lights had to be on for the bulb to come on haha! Works fine now sometimes go dim tho

I'm not haha the old bulb blew and i replaced it and after about a hour of messing i have up n left it only to realise 10 mins later when i turned my lights on it started to work haha ill go sit on the naughty step now. Thanks for your help anyway guys i really appriciate it
