Dubmuffin Posted January 22, 2013 Report Share Posted January 22, 2013 Going to do another 6month service soon, I'm just wondering if anybody has any recommendations to oil?I used 5/30 last time, but she's going to be ticking over 75k soon so may put in 10/30? Dubmuffin Posted January 23, 2013 Author Report Share Posted January 23, 2013 Sorry, I meant 10/40. Something a bloke at a vw specialist told me it may be worth looking into. This is why I've asked on here instead of just throwing it in. I would have gone for 5w/30 by default anyways, but people on here have more knowledge of the loop than me. Skezza Posted January 24, 2013 Report Share Posted January 24, 2013 Doesn't it depend on the fuel type? I had 5w30 in my petrol.
