ralex5
Hi, i'm 19 and have been quoted 2500 on a gti. Am looking to keep the cost of purchase low obviously and am looking for tips on what to look for, certain problems or good things to look for on the gti's i'm looking at! Thanks in advance
scotty_82
If you are wanting a cheap gti then you are going to end up with a high mileage one if you are needing to keep the costs down.Personally id go for something a bit cheaper to insure and spend the rest on coke and hookers or whatever the yoof are into today

scotty_82
Im putting this out there and i expect trouble from it.I like very very little oil in the pan, a low heat, burst yoke and fried on both sides. I also like my bacon blue, sizzled quickly on both sides then out.BUTi love black pudding
Rich
I like two decent sausages, two decent quality hash browns fried till crispy and ketchup all in a tortilla wrap which has had ten seconds either side on a chargrill. Rich
I don't mind fried bread but it's not something I would do everyday. When I worked in Varsity we would just chuck all the breakfast in the fryer and leave it for a few mins. Koop
Most common issues on Lupos are gearboxes & pedal boxes, same with GTIs. Check when it's had the cam belt changed last, if it hasn't been done in the last 40k it'll need doing soon as. Check for smoke as in your price range they'll have reasonably high mileage & you want to make sure they aren't burning oil. Sports are worse for this though (like mine).Better? scotty_82
Headlights are expensive and check for dead hookers in the boot, happens more than you think.
