Trx 33
Headlight tinting is illegal, isnt it? so if i was to buy some bulbs which were also 'illegal' would this cancel out the effect of the tint? or would i just get done twice as hard also, out of curiosity, does anyone know the brightest road legal white/blue H4 bulbs knocking around? might just treat myself to a new pair Cheers
Trx 33
Id also like to know of a good headlight tint film for a Mk1 arosa, dont want it too dark, just like a light smoke so you can just about tell that they're not standard
Defcon5
You have a choice of 3 bulbs IMO, Osram Nightbreaker+, Phillips extreme vision or Ring +120%.
Pete91
As far as i'm aware it's not illegal to tint the head lights. Within reason though lol. From what i've read on here most people use this stuff:http://www.lamin-x.co.uk/shop.htmNever used it myself but it seems pretty easy to put on. JoeA
Don't buy spray, I've heard that stuff is illegal. As said above, lamin x is the one
Deadmetal
As long as the light output is high enough, then tinting headlights is legal. As other people have said, go for lamin-x stuff.
Trx 33
Cheers guys, was thinking about getting some tint of ebay, but you never know the quality of that stuff Anyone else had experience with the bulbs defcon suggested? Pete91
When i searched for replacements for my hids the bulbs that defcon mentioned came up a lot. They get consistently good reviews. I'm a fanny though and went for the halfords "£25 a bulb" ones cos they were buy one get one free. Needless to say i was disappointed. Defcon5
I think the Ring ones are quite cheap on ebay. Ill be getting them when my original Nightbreakers go pop.
rapidebrothers
I went to a car show on Sunday & there was a stainless steel exhaust stall there selling some 'Osram Night Breakers + ' bulbs off at a good price - £10 a pair
