Cannonball
Vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1986These must be fitted with one side repeater indicator on each side. Instead of a separate lamp, the side repeater might be part of the front direction indicator if it includes a wraparound lens. Do they get classed as wrap arounds (visable from rear) ?Ive never taken mine off due to the above rule http://www.ukmot.com/1-5.asp#Text_top Edited April 19, 2012 by Cannonball
Adam R4
My old rally car 1989 Peugeot 205 never had them and passed MOT's no problem.
Cannonball
Ok coolI know most B and C reg 205's didnt have them but all D reg onwards (86/87) should have, did you swap the wings to the 205 s1 type(sorry to hijack thread) Its just a mod we thought of but got advised not to when we inquired about it. Cannonball
Mine was a series 1.On a 1989 G plate ? A lot of S1 205's were pre 1986 so didnt need front side repeaters anything after does unless it has wrap around front lights. I only asked as this car is obviously after 1986 and we were advised not to do it because of the stupid rule.I see in the pictures its parked in an mot bay so maybe it was a friendly inspector
Brt900
I haven't personally put it through an MOT yet as its only up in November but I think most of the work was done in 2008 so it's passed a few MOT's since then, either through friendly inspector or they are legal. I don't think it will pass its next MOT as the steering wheel has no airbag and it had an airbag as standard
Cannonball
That would only fail if the warning light is on. If you drive past a place why not call in and ask
