alpinaweiss
Hello, I am new to this forum and would like to say Hi and ask for sometechnical advice :I am about to purchase a set of cheap as-new 6x14 Peugeot alloysthat I intend to fit, with custom-made adaptor-plates, on my Lupo 1.0 "project car"('99 model year). The wheels are 6x14 ET18, meaning that, with the 18mm thick adapters, the wheels will become 6x14 ET 0 (zero). Before I part with the cash(as there will be an additional investment in the 4x108 > 4x100 adapters) can any of you confirm whether 6x14 with ET0 is drivable/fittable to a Lupo ?(if necessary I could probably use stretch - 165/60-14 or similar, and someminor amount of camber would be acceptable but NOT much (sort of a "weekend"daily driver).Ride-height will be -50 to -55mm all round (most probably with a skid-plate...)Thanks HEAPS for any suggestions !CheersAlex
scotty_82
Seems alot of work, unless these wheels are super cool and expensive magnesium one offs I can't see the point
alpinaweiss
thanks - the point is that I want that design so much on the Lupo(and the price for the set is silly, although lot of cash will go in the adaptors).anyway, maybe someone has hands-on experience with spaced-out 6x14sand will shed some "light" ? Actually 6x14 ET0 should be same as 7x14 ET13 (in terms of "poke" / wheelarchclearance), right ? Cheers & thx 10x

alpinaweiss
@ Koop : thanks --> by "sounds about right" you mean the comparison, right ? Or did you want to say that 6x14 ET0 is possible to fit without wheelarch pulling ?Cheers !
treblet
You'll probably need arch work, even with a rim that narrow.
marcusgrant
i personally think that they will look ridiculous, thin wheels which poke never look good IMO
scotty_82
From behind it will look weird

alpinaweiss
OK, so from your replies it seems the final word is thatthey CAN be fitted, but with the following cons:- arch pulling- aesthetics Anything else ? Now I'm even more confused... Btw.any ideas how much wider are the GTI front fenders compared to stock ones ? I was also thinking -- If one fits GTIfront fenders (while keepingthe narrow-track stock 1.0 suspension), actually much more spacecan be obtained at the front.... correct ?Whereas at the rear, 6x14 ET 0 should not be THAT of an issue, although the aesthetics might be compromised a bit that's true (although it's again VERY different if one rolls on stretched 155/60-14 or 195/45-14 ).I will go for it I guess.... wish me luck.P.S. Anyway, has anyone actually tried GTI front fenders on a normal Lupo ?
alpinaweiss
I made some calculations, and the Lupo GTI front track seems to be 34mm wider than the Lupo 1.0. \This probably means that GTI front wheelarches haveAT LEAST 15mm more "arch", meaning that very-high-offsetwheels on the front of a Lupo 1.0 might be solved with fiitinga GTI front wings, without mechanical arch-pulling and/orexcessive neg. camber.Time to talk to the breakers... Koop
The entire front end is different on the GTI, you'd need to replace every panel forward of the windscreen (except the bonnet)
Adam R4
Im running 14x6 with an ET20 rear, Required minor arch work but i could still have another 20mm added to that and get away with it.Although i wouldnt want to as the rears sit flush. alpinaweiss
thanks, have been using that site - it helps a lot (but onlyif you know another fitment/combo that DOES FIT on a certain car,to compare against).thanks ! Koop
You just put in your standard measurements don't you? That's pretty handy that.
georgen
just put your existing sizes etc in then you can play with sizes and ET (wheel offsets) and you can see the difference and scroll down for the measurements and difference. you dont have to know a working combo just play it tells you difference then you can work out where it would be off your exiting wheels, just takes the guess work out. scotty_82
Seems alot of work and expense for something that tbh is not going to look that good, Probably a bit like the drag civics that had wide fronts on and tiny thin rears on.
