5x100 hub conversion?

Recommended Posts

Is it possible / how hard would it be to do a 5x100 hub conversion on a lupo?

Eg. fabia vrs hubs?

im just thinking due to the wider choice of brake conversions available?

its funny, i was looking at the mk3 gti hub with 286 discs std, they mount up the same just have to do a bit of measuring as to where the leg bolts are in the same place & the track rod end, I will lokk when i eventually get round to having the time..

Dogbot, ball joints won't fit from the 288 mk3's.

Now. . .

rears, fit mk2/3 golf ones with five stud discs.

Fronts, use lupo 16v arms with mk3 VR hubs, you'd have to have the arms bored out to accept the bearings and then use mk3 VR outer CV joints.

Brakes, use the 280's off early mk3 GTI/VR's.

Pretty much answers this thread.

rears do fit but not straight up the bottom caliper carrier bolt hits on the axle o u have to grind a piece of the axle away so u can get the bolt in

an as with the fronts the ball joints i am struggling with as the lupo ones r saggy in the vr hub an the vr ones dont line up with all 3 bolts to the arm

any more advice ? ( rich )
