Lmao a massive amount easier, if i where in your position i would throw the polo gti looms straight in an sdjust the plugs for the lights, radio should be the same too..... you can keep your original key by switching the chip from donor key to your key this saves recoding & two key scenario.... all the best!!

The only thing I would say differently to dubsy is to use the bigger rad, if you've got it you may aswell, just need to cut out the closed half of the cowl. an you can tak the chip from the donor cars key an put it in your original key, no need for recoding then, it just lifts from one key to another, also I found it far less work to splice in the polo engine and ecu loom into th lupo loom, personal preference tho I believe on that front

Sammy-Jo's engine conversion is quite unique an was quite intensive with the wiring, a friend and I spent a day an a Half building a complete new loom using the polo GTI engine loom and ecu an splicing it into the lupo cabin loom, we felt this was the best route for the longevity of the car, I can tell you it was no easy feat but not beyond anyone's capability, the easiest way on the wiring front is buy using the polo GTI engine loom and cabin loom and transplanting the whole thing into the lupo, this does however mean every connection for windows lights an switches need looking at and modification as the 6n based lupo an 6n2 polo are a fair bit different, however it all depend where you feel more confident wiring, ecu or lights and switches, there aren't many wiring diagrams about for the polo GTI either which only makes things a bit trickier, after that everything else is just nuts an bolts, engine goes straight in on the same mounts, but you can't use the 6 speed box as it doesn't fit in th lupo, only the lupo GTI uses the 6 speed box an the engine sits at an angle to do so, Sammy an I opted to use polo GTI brakes all round too, you'll need the hubs and calipers, the rear is easy also, you will need polo GTI rear stub axles an calipers also the do bolt straight onto the lupo rear beam but sit at a different angle... You'll also want the radiator from the polo too as its a lot wider and the original lupo rad is not up to the job it gets very hot!! You'll need to chop out half the rad housing too for air flow An that's about it off the top of my head... Good luck, there's a fair few foto's on Sammy's build thread but none of the wiring, otherwise it would be too easy for you pmsl (to be fair I only did the connections figuring out what did what was my wizard of a mate) in all Sammy's conversion took me 3 days but spread over months while collecting the parts an squeezing it all into our schedules.

I apologise prefusely if this has been asked a million times but i am still having a few problems turning up results with the search function Basically, Sammy-Jo's lupo is in dire need of Bigger brakes before i even consider letting it near the road, the front i have sorted.. almost, The Rear I dont...... I have been offered a polo 6n2 GTi Rear beam axle & brakes, I'm not entirely sure it will fit, I have heard they are slightly longer????? does anyone know if it will, My gut instinct is to keep the 1.4s beam & swap stub axles & brakes on this will work wont it????........ Am i barking up the wrong tree..... Can anybody help my brain hurts now..... Many many thanks in advance Ray p.s i am trawling through build threads & such trying to find the answer, just wondered perhaps if you knowledegable kind chaps here can help. xxxxxxx much luff xxxx lol

simplest conversion is the polo gti dude, you can do the physical swap in half a day & the wiring part in a day or so...

mmaybe i was thinking of the engine mount....... its certainly a lot of work lol

the lupo gti Engine & 6 speed box wont fit in a non gti, it has a different sub frame, the suspension turrets are slightly different & the lupo gti lump sits in at an angle..... I couldn't have dreamt that up, i just couldn't..... im sure it didnt fit hence why i got the polo gti lump & box.....

tbh mate, wiring wise, there arent great diagrams out there,, You better off doing the job properly & binning the car side of the loom, theres only 6 or so wires that come from the cabin of the lupo & go to the engine, they are lives, switch lives & earths, trace & cut out all the ecu wiring from the lupo & solder & heatshring the polo ecu & loom into the lupo's loom, its quicker & easier,, if you keep the polo car & engine loom you'll have a headache of work with the speaker, central locking & lights, depending on the age's of the 2 cars concerned you may find as i did, most of the wires are the same or similar colours & all the clock loom should be the same colours too it was for us. wiring took a day an half on sammy-jo's lupo an we where going slow

Samco do them dude, whole kit for around £200 notes, any colour you like, If your like me & think thats a tad expensive, I've tried trawling ebay & cheaper suplliers but it all comes in around the samco price!

i took most of a dent out of my brothers A3 rear bumper like this, heat at the back & had to force it gently with a dolly in my hand, worth a try dude, I also found banning him from driving it again helped to prevennt re-occuring incedents lol

I will have to agree, I can think of an occasion wen my little lady was asking for help & all she got was piss takes, but i cant remember it clearly enough to start pointing fingers and making acusations, what i can clearly say is that the experience left us a bit frustrated & almost turned our back on the forum as we were new then, it wasn't untill we drove 3 hours & met bickerton, we thought perhaps we'l give the forum another try, have to say putting on a thicker skin its not so bad, you just need a salt pot to trawl the forum with,

your are quite right, I was bought an Auto glym case, for my birthday by the wife, the kit is still going & an havent had to buy anything else, i was just in the shop & saw it an thought for a few quid, i'll give it try, if it fails I'll lob it, i suppose if you dont expect much you can be surprised!

Shampoo: autoglum bodywork shampoo Sponge/mitt: Kent microfibre cleaning mitt on bodywork, & sponge on wheels & anything truly grubby Polish: Auto glym super resin polish, Sealant: dont really use one, altho i picked up a bottle of the useless Turtlewax colour magic for a few quid in a slae the other day, found the colour polish/wax helped to hide a lot of stonechips & tired looking areas, though i'd keep it in the bag of tricks for a quick revive every so often when in a rush Wax: i like colonite but tis a bit pricey to use fortnightly. Glaze: dont normally bother but Auto glym instant show shine works really nicely at the show for a real quick buff up. for reference then, this is what i normally achieve with the AG products, a great finish but never quite like a mirror then for players i gave her a quick once over with the cheapo turtlewax, helped fill in all the little niggly bits, & gave her a mirror finish... note the reflection I dont normally get.... cheapo stuff can sometimes work ok i spose..
