Dave!
How easily can a 1.0 litre be made into a 1.4 sport rep (100bhp with centre exhaust), has anyone on here done it before and is there any pics? Cheers,Dave.
LiamD
I don't think you would need much.Lower half of the front bumper with the fogs.Lower half of rear bumper with cut out for the centre exit exhaust. Then a custom exhaust with the centre exit.A rear disc brake conversion would complete the look I suppose.I may have missed something off, I'm not the biggest Lupo geek lol
pro3mark
If you're going OEM, the 16v grill and boot badges would make sense But not on a 1L
LiamD
I think the key part would be getting the exhaust sitting right. How many 1.0/1.4's with aftermarket centre exit exhausts do you see that actually hang properly? I haven't seen one yet!
pro3mark
The issue of the lower wheel well, maybe?

Jowey
were the exhausts ever right on the early sports anyway ?
Lermy
oh and you will need the complete rear bumper as the bottom half is attached so its all one piece... well mine is anyway im sure they are all the same
SamAtkinson
were the exhausts ever right on the early sports anyway ? Ha very true.im sure there are a couple after market exhaust that give a centre exit but have a tail pipe that takes the lower wheel well into account so that it doesnt have to be chopped and welded back together. PhilM
Also lowered suspension and sport alloys to complete the look, not sure it would look great on the old hub caps!
Dave!
i purchased a set of the sport alloys yesterday from bazil, could do with abit of tlc, but i wanted to take it one step further and make it have the appearance of a sport, would be a slow project and i cant really think who would offer a centre exit exhaust matching the original ?i know that someone on the forums owns a 1.4sport rep but hasnt pm'd me back
jamiea7x
I really don't see why you would want to rep a sport? 1.0 look every bit as good with a few select mods, he'll there's folk on here who got rid o the centre exits on there sports and gti's
Dave!
its just down to personal preference, and what your into/likeand i want abit of a project so it seems ideal
