205/45/15s

hi guys im hopefully getting some polo gti wheels this weekend.

was just wondering if any of you have used 205/45/15 tyres before??

do they fit, rub etc..??

thinking about it dont GTis come with them standard?

Get 195/45's, will fit better and be ALOT cheaper. Most people with GTI's use them.

ok fair enough, we got some T1-Rs in work thats all. was thining of the extra width..

do gtis come with 205s standard thou?

Aren't Polo GTI wheels 6j though? As opposed to Lupo GTI wheels that are 6.5j.

205's might be too wide for 6's. Worth checking on the Toyo website.

Another vote here for 195/45/15 :)

I'll be getting some rainsport 2s next week!

Wish I could stretch to Eagle F1s :(

fair enough 195/45 it is then..

i heard eagle F1s are awesome

but so are toyos, well ive heard off nearly everyone that they are like.

what do you people use??

i usually have falkens, they are very good.

I have T1-Rs, purley as i got 4 of then for £150 fitted! If budget were not a factor I would have the F1s

i can get T1-Rs for £138 fitted (by myself, so i know my wheels wont get wrecked haha)

ill have to see how much i can get goodyears for

I get my t1r's for £130 fitted for 4.

I paid £230 for 4 eagle f1s fitted, by far the best tyre ive ever used and I don't exactly take it easy in corners. The grip in the dry is far better than t1r's and in the wet its substantially better too. Highly recommended if you can afford the extra coin.

i went out with the toyo reps for a drink the other week.

they said the difference between the R888 and T1-R Is huge!

mite be worth trying them. depending on price ovo.

Only thing wrong with r888's is they arnt too good in the wet and they arnt available in all sizes, such as you can get them in 195/50 but not 195/45. I had scrubbing problems with 195/50s.

ahh rite so you can go and get them yourself?? saving on postage is it?

yeah i know, they will wear like mad aswell. you can now get a R1-R Which are better in the wet.
