nfbr
I think it's just the SDI, TDI and GTI that had the Undertray.

northwick
Are the diesels for noise reasons? The GTI for aero efficiency? Edited January 26, 2010 by northwick
nfbr
Diesels definitely for noise and also the very low sump...GTI probably to reduce road noise and improve wind resistance.

Defcon5
Does it have anything to do with protecting the engine from grime and whatnot then? If its just for aero i wont bother replacing mine
number63
ive always thought it was to protect the engine especially the sump low or not due to things flying up from the road hitting bits of the engine and damaging things and also aerodynamics but more for protection which is why i thought i would ask. number63
well ive got a 1.4 standard lupo and just surprised it hasnt got one as I would think majority of cars would have them as standard and the price of them is probably virtually nothing when then make the car.
