Does it have anything to do with protecting the engine from grime and whatnot then? If its just for aero i wont bother replacing mine

Yes my engine bay is very dirty throught not running the undertray throught the winter, such a bitch to put on. (It's on now)

well ive got a 1.4 standard lupo and just surprised it hasnt got one as I would think majority of cars would have them as standard and the price of them is probably virtually nothing when then make the car.

True, yet I think someone said they are about £80 to buy from VW
