started to frown the bonnet earlier - well i welde a couple of plates on, now i'm not sure i like it but it's hard to judge when it's all rough and in primer (to keep the snow off the bare metal)

obviously will need more work to get it to look right, options are;

1)badboy slant over headlight and leave indicator

2)frown and reduce indicator size to match headlight

3)frown and delete indicator completely

suggestions welcomed

thanks bud, i'm not sure - there were a few 'fun' stickers on the car, quagmire head on the windscreen, volks girls on p/s/f window, girl racer sticker on drivers window and revo stickers on the rear 3. needless to say they were all swiftly removed.

LGG - i'll pop some pics of the polo up that gave me the idea later.

Never been a fan of removed indicators.

Small headlights already make the car show its age.

making them smaller just makes it worse.. like a Kia or something.

anyway some pix of said boserblik and deleted indicators

my biggest pet hate of polo 6N's is the grille.

If it had horizontal slats going right the way across between the lights instead of curving up for no reason

other than to make it look like the rest of the VW range at the time.

Sort of reminds me a golf rallye

some quick photoshops.

Lupoing the front end ?

that is sacrilege !

Thats like putting the Ford Galaxy front end on a VW Sharon :P

all i got done last night was to refit most of the dash and generally tidy the inside up.

arosa10210001.jpg

today after much indecision over the whole frowned bonnet work i decided to go for a straight badboy bonnet

arosa10210002.jpg

after i marked it up i changed my mind and added 30mm to the straight part then go up at a slant from there so i chopped them down

arosa10210003.jpg

arosa10210004.jpg

then filed the edges, i was happy with the shape so i ran a seam weld around the inside of the bonnet and ground down the outer welds

arosa10210006.jpg

arosa10210007.jpg

once they were flattened i threw on some filler, while the filler was curing i dug out some mk4 golf colour coded handles and stuck one in the drivers door

arosa10210021.jpg

i shaped the filler close to where i want it

arosa10210015.jpg

then before i could put the next skim of filler on it started to snow so i threw some paint on to protect it 'til tomorrow
