electricpanda
I'm just running a 1m heavy duty PVC air feed through there as it was a quick replacement for the standard BMC alloy tube. I've not attached it to the grill but when I fit my throttle bodies I'll be doing a more permanent solution..Ok, thanks alot for your advice! PaperWeight1
The BMC alloy feeds provide a turbulent air flow due to all the ridges. Not something you want from an air feed..Ah, I was on about using silicone bends.
MarkS
that's where my air feed goes to.. runs fine in rain, snow etc.You got a picture of this mate?I just had a look now for possible routing of a hose and I can't see a path to the lower grille at all! MarkS
Cheers matey! I've been having a read up on this from some old threads on the forum. Some very interesting ideas!Apparently the ideal way to route the BMC is down the other side of the engine but no one ever managed to successfully do it?Also someone mentioned you need a catch tank for something if you run a BMC?Also, on the current air intake from the wing, what's the extra little tube coming off and running to the front of the engine? greenson
Removed mine, and took out the charcoal canister too. And my cold air feed stops just where the gap in the wing is.How close to the gap in the inner wing is your cold air feed pal (as in inches or cm lol)does it matter if it is not touching the gap?Cheerschris
Philplop
It's just above the gap, think it's fairly central to it.

electricpanda
Or maybe routed his air feed into the cabin! Did you ever see that lad in America with the intake next to the window so he can hear "V-TEC"?Theres also a lad I've seen in Leeds with a 1.3 turbo mk3 polo with headphones in the car to listen! Defcon5
I think so - did he just route a massive length of pipe from the engine round the car to the drivers window or something?

low n slow
Can anyone tell me the bore/size of the pipes and silicone tubes needed for this please?
Defcon5
I think its a 72 - 63 90deg reducer from CDA to TB, and then 72 for everything else

electricpanda
Been looking on the AutoPerformance websites and the reducers are either 70-63 or 76-63?Im assuming the 70-63 would be fine as Kam Racing supply them with 70-70 elbows?
