Defcon5
As title, how would this affect the cars handling? T1-Rs are £27 in this size, as opposed to £46 in 195/45/15 or £55 in 205.
Philplop
I'm sure people have had scrubbing with 50 profiles, even on standard suspension.Didn't realise how cheap they were though!
Defcon5
From my calculations its only an increase of 11mm in diameter

GT-aye-lad
Yup, can confirm that 195/50's scrub on standard suspension. Only really on full lock mind, but can get a tad annoying when reversing out of my drive!I'd stick with the 45's if I were you, look better too IMO. Loads of other tyres in 195/45, that will be cheaper than Toyo's.

lap
Yep mine scrub too but, as mentioned, only on full lock. Didn't really find it to be a problem.
SamGTi
I used to run 195/50/15's Michelin PE2's, handled better than the 45's i have on now....did scrub a bit, but the turn in and grip was far better IMO

Defcon5
We are talking an increase in diamater of 11mm, given the huge gap between tyre and arch on a sport I cant see how it could rub at all?
SamGTi
yes, with just me in the car, it would scrub on tight bends on the 50's.Now on the 45's i suffer no scrubbage, only on potholes >.<
