  1. Sounds exactly like the problem I had on my old GTI. Hooked it up to VAG-COM and I had a faulty ABS sensor. It was sort of self-activating, causing brakes to stick on, was pretty dangerous when trying to pull out quickly at junctions. Replaced it and all was well again!
  2. Don't finish work in centre of Hudds till 5.30 so it'll be 6 at the earliest that I can make it for
  3. This weds 14th at Old Post Office pub, 5pm onwards if you can make it!
  4. Moon silver 02 plate 6 speed with Air con 68000 miles £4800 ono Tell your mate to come along and have a nosy! My for sale thread: http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=65488
  5. Ha it's not just me who deliberately parks next to Lupos then! Yeah I went to quite a few last year but they dropped off a bit over winter and haven't been since. Should imagine they're picking up again now with the weather improving. You heading to this Hudds/Barnsley meet?
  6. That would have been me it was in there all day while I was at work. Still keeping an eye out for yours, never seen an anthracite up close and personal before!
  7. I'm up for that. I'll be there in my for sale GTI if anyone's interested
  8. Leeds all the way!! Blink will be insane Was tempted by Creamfields as it's a pretty sweet lineup, but festival itself is full of tossers so I hear
  9. Ahh nightmare! Oh yeah sweet, still got the headrests? Could meet you on saturday if you're free? I know man, it's a proper heart V head situation - head says sell, heart says NOOOOO!! Can't decide
  10. Ah mate, didn't know you were selling up. I think I'm following suit in the near future unfortunately as I could do with the cash I guess that's why you rang me the other day? Was working so I couldn't answer and then totally forgot to call you back D'OH! How's the new motor then? Have to meet up before I sell the GTI
  11. Good call, plus it's a halfway house for us Hudds lot and you lot coming from Barnsley. Does that Old Posty Cruise still exist down there? Used to be huge turnouts for that back in the day!
  12. D'OH! That's just reminded me, I'm working sunday don't finish till half 4. Guess I won't be making this after all.
  13. Haha I know what you mean, I always seem to end up heading all the way round Castle Hill aswell...major detour but the twists are pretty decent and there's that fab view over Hudds. No wonder I'm always at the pumps!
  14. Yeah good turnout hopefully, just seen the list on HDVAG! I always avoid Wakey Rd at rush hour, you should head over Almondbury instead. Misses all the traffic, although it is speedbump city...
  15. Yeah I noticed you were propped up against the window. That traffic was pretty rancid, you had time for a quick kip to be fair!
  16. Oh and I'll come along on sunday, representing the bog-standard scene!
  17. Silver GTI going past Tesco Express at Moldgreen, that gave you a flash while you were stuck in traffic?........moi
  18. That was me mate, heading home through the snow! Never saw you!
  19. Gotta say Rich, that looks cool as **** mate!
  20. New sensor time then it sounds like. I've noticed the braking seems to be coming from the front nearside, suggesting the knackered sensor is causing the EDL to operate. Town centre driving is becoming a pain in the arse!
  21. I think this is what's buggered on mine. Brakes cut in severely at low speeds without any input from me, but it feels as though it's just the front nearside that seems to do this. Sounds as though the sensor is knackered and causes the EDL to activate on this wheel.
  22. Yeah it's definately worse at slow speeds and when setting off. Haven't had chance to check pads yet as it's always dark when I'm not working! How much did a new sensor set you back?
