IDGM
I've gone right off films at the moment, the hype surrounding many releases totally ruins them and most of the 'good bits' are in the trailers anyway. I'll get the latest Harry Potter on DVD when it comes out.I'm bracing myself for Stan wanting to go and see the terrible holiday releases like this new guinea pig one. Mrs M can go with him! jon_273
Has anyone seen Watchmen?? Wanting to see it, but not got chance to yet.I watched that the other night and was disappointed, wayyy too long, even that start lasted about 20 mins! Shame really as the trailer was rather good. Also watched The Haunting in Connecticut, typical haunted house type film - great if you're into that sort of thing. Has anyone else seen it? I had to turn away when they started cutting the eyelids off The Hangover is worth watching too, has some really funny moments in it. The film dialog was too book like and dry. They didnt make enough fuss about that old guys death.it was a bit like "oh he's dead.. but dont worry harry because that ginger girl still wants to lick your balls"rubbish. I didn't take any notice of the case but I thought it was scary enough to be an 18, especially when watching it on a big screen! (I was using a projector and It made me jump if a few places )
MattyA
I really liked Watchmen, its very dark though, and would probably leave some people feeling confused about what they had just watched!
MattyA
Watched Bronson Last night.... Great music track in it but the film was pants... Soundtrack was indeed great. I thought the film was good, but they missed an opportunity to make a really good film. I didnt really feel I had discovered much about him (no real insight or character development), and the visual style didn't really help.Still a good 7/10 though. lunalupi
Saw 'Moon' last night (with my mum) - wasn't sure what to expect, thought it might be a bit like 'Castaway' (anyone remember that film?) but it was actually a bit more action-y than that. The whole film was basically the one guy, with a few other characters appearing via video screens - some sad bits, and an amazing soundtrack I thought! We're hoping to see Coco Before Chanel next week - using our Orange wednesdays at our local cinema
