domo
yeah thought its about time i post my lupo. ive done quoite abit so ill jsut get on with it and post to the stage im at now.i always had in mind to do my lupo the wrong way round, coilovers , then engine bits and find wheels at a later date. i also have a few plans to make it different to other lupos, to find wheels no ones rocking, exhaust done my way etc.ive been on the scene for a while, used to own a polo but got bored. the polo:<img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/IMG_5356A_M.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /><img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/n504210406_2032842_4966.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />1999 lupo 16v. got ripped off tbh, had problems with it, but now sorted it all out and work began on dubbing it.how it came, back in january<img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370716.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /><img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370780.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /><img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370778.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />.first job, i deabdged it all. i then removed bumstrips to find faded paint so back on they went<img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370799.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />a set of philljs trusty coiles. all the way down plus no rear adjusters<img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/Image0250.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /><img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/Image0262.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />i then kind of left it at a rat look as i knew i wanted my exhaust done next which will show shortly. i also had some obsession with rsl cults at the time and loved how 14s sat on lupos and when a set poped up for 300 i grabed them.<img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370943.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /><img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370942.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />2 days later i didnt like them and sold them on. back to steels for a few more months.next i gave it a clean and bought some nl plates as i fancied being different. Aero wipers also came and the rear of the car de wipered altogether. <img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370955.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /><img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370950.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /><img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370954.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />then i found some mk4 recaros for 90quid going on here so as were local i smapped them up. in ok condition but they are being refurbed in all black with a subtle blue stiching going through them<img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370972.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />i then ripped out my rear seats and sprayed all my ****ty gray plastics, and building a flatboard as we speak. pictures to come soon when completed.then off to phillj for a custom full stainless exhaust with manifold aswell. two silencers on the exhaust to give a nice grumble. 21/2 inch tip.<img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370969.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /><img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370970.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /><img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370971.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /><img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370968.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" /><img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370967.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />i then started whoring the internet for ages for a set of wheels that were 14s and no one had. i was jsut about to snap some th lines up when these babys came into my eyes. agian another local pickup and no jsut waiting to be tyred. old school compomotives, with compomotive still stamped on the dish and 20mm adapters. im rather happy, although i spent my holiday saving money <img src="http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> 14x7s btw<img src="http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l170/skimmerz_01/SL370973.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />that is all for now, will post pictures and keep updating the thread. comments welcome <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Dom Edited May 4, 2010 by domo

domo
I like this! lovely wheels Is it a raceland manifold? or a custom jobby? Thanks.what all the qestions on wheels have been for haha.its a raceland im think, but the rest of the exhaust was a complete custom job. you feel the difference, much cleaner airflow, well worth the money, i spent 500 in total on everything, the welding is a top job aswell.and manifolds are very easy to fit yourself as it goes, except you need to re wire the lamba, well make the wire longer as it sits further down on the manifold. domo
right so as you all know i was asking what tyres to stretch over for my splits etc as they came with 20mm adapters.and 2x as much poke on the fronts.so my answer was to shave 5mm of the back of the wheel and 5mm off the adapters. and it worked a treat165/55 federalswill get better photos tomo once finished my boot install aswell.comments would be great .
