bossjohnc
Possibly just surface rust on the front disks - nothing to worry about

Tigzâ„¢
Wooo hang on mate.It could be somthing wrong.Mine started grinding after 600 miles, took it to VW he was telling us it was normal.Kicked off a little and he changed them, discs and pads.Take the car down an empty road do an emergancy stop, this should clean any suffice rust off, if its still noisey, then take it to seat. You can get them changed under warrenty if you shout loud enough. bossjohnc
True enough, although he does say the noise goes away after they've "warmed up" - and it's been raining lots there recently...

DanGTI
my arosa discs have always been knackered. i had the rears replaced under warranty cos at 8k they looked like discs after 80k. 2k later they look exactly the same.
