if its pinking under load i suggest using optimax or a higher octane content fuel. fill the tank and take it for a blast and it'll get rid of the "pinking" noise. check ur plugs anyways style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> i was told the 1 litre lupo had platinum plugs. not sure about the difference but they cost about 9 quid a plug lol

hey guys... the car was gonna cost over 2.5k to fix plus dave was only 3rd party insured so he wasnt covered plus dave wasnt willing to spend a lot of cash to fix her up and so, he is the proud new owner of a sport style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> thus leaves the little 1litre unwanted lol now i dont want to see a lupo go to waste.... so ive bought it off dave style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> im a lupo a owner again!! wooo hoooo! so i guess im gonna have to get my hands dirty and get it back on the road lol

just need to get a few things sorted on mine now for e38

wen i fitted mine they made a few pinging noises and creaked a few times but once they settle down they should be fine style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

remember get ur camber sorted asap dave! it'll just eat the tyres. falkland performance will do it on monday if you take the car down

hey paul, does ur tappets make noise wen you start the car up from cold? think 1 of my tappets are knackered coz it chaps like hell till the oil gets all the way round the engine. usually lasts about 5 secs then sounds fine.

what kinda fuel are you using mate? my lupo done this for a bit. i was told to use optimax. filled the car up, took it for a wee blast and it stopped. think its got to do with the octane content or sumthing. optimax is 98. higher than standard unleaded which is only 95. give it a try. edit: sorry, didnt read the post properly style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
