mk2 Scirccos look crap, the over hangs are huge the rear windows too big and its pretty much a 'modernised ' version of the mk1

mk1's are retro cool and have a number of different sized engines

i need a proper look in the daytime but thanks for the checklist mate

i'm tempted... so very tempted

race everyone to get it doen by E38? lol, still probably beat tigz

wiring repairable or full replacement, got an autoelectrician who owes me a favour and the bestg welder i've ever met

probably not big enough favours though

would be nice to sort it out

havent got a clue on the engine size too dark and too dusty to tell wasnt huge in size, expecting it to be a 1550, well hoping for the insurance like

i'm buying it because its cheap as hell

2001 plate(new shape)

44k

aircon full electrics ABS etc

1500cc

the obscure model with the full leather inc spaceship style steering wheel

alloys

2 stone chips up front and 1 dodgy key

book price around 3000quid

to me...... drum roll please..... the princely sum of £1400

cant argue with that, i can run it till i source another car and still make some money (fingers crossed)

visions of deer tree bank ouch again :(

my small amount of street creds gonna be ****ed

mutters under breath... nissan almera

Ah, it could be worse! ... erm, maybe

Why not buy an Arosa sport or something instead of the scirroco? Cheaper to run and insure and cheaper to keep it running, probably more reliable.

Save the money from the dull-mobile (almera!) and spend what you were going to on the VW on a nice sport :)

£1400 could be spent on better things dude and you know it

air con and leather is all very well but do you honestly need it ?

I vote mk2, pick a fairly tidy one for £700 bucks .. and then all that spare cash to play with B)

The almera does sound cheap, which engine is it? Possibly be high on insurance?

You say you will get more than you pay for it, although for that price it carnt be a great example and id be worrying at how well almeras sell!

Buy something you really want! and wont be bored silly and embarrassed to own, afterall it will look like its your parents car and you have borrowed it!

its the 1.5i and the insurance is 120 more than the arosa

its cheap because the old couple are moving to spain, mydads offered trade price and they accepted, dads done the car since new so knows the whole history

wouldnt let me near it if it wasnt kosher

its tidy as hell, probably coulddo with a wheel refurb but thats all

dont think its ever been over 60mph

its a temporary measure

i hate to admit it but i joined the almera forumto ask some questions

instantly i got a pm regarding the interior with a swap and cash offer of 500!

who the hell wants blue leather?

Oh dear god, there is an almera forum! Whatever next

I can see its a good deal, and if its only for a short time then its possibly a good idea, aslong as you can replace the almera withough having to sell it for its money first, then ownership could drag on!

Im not sure how well almeras sell, there are so many better mid sized cars aroung. We have a stilo for sale and i carnt see us ever selling it ;)

and blue leather on the steering wheel (hence spaceship steering wheel)

it is flat as**** on the acceleration though low revs are shocking

you really do have to drive it to keep it going
