Tigzâ„¢
Just remove the plastic boot cover and check if the washer pipe is split, or has come off the nozzle.A hair dryer and a hint of WD40 should sort the switch out.

Mouse_GTI
My Polo has done this for the second time, just last week. First time it done it (around this time last year) I had to get a new boot switch as the water had corroded the contacts or something. My light is still on even after drying it/using WD40 so looks like I'll be forking out for yet another boot switch

RAB
Could it be that there is not enough screenwash in your washbottles, leading to freezing of the contents and subsequent breakage of the pipework?RAB
LupoGirlRacer
a possibility maybe, but don't think mine has ever seen past the half way mark!
lunalupi
Its just a bit of a design flaw - the pipe is just pushed onto the motor and has a few push fit connectors along the length too; it can work its way loose.Easy enough to fix though once you know what to watch out for
