cardaft
Yeah, have a good read through, it took me a while to gather what i needed to do. Also search for mrbuscuits thread, if there isnt a link from this one. Mine is now powered from the heated rear window switch, with a spare switch acting as my set button. I just need a stalk and wire it in now!

jon_273
As said above, all the information is in here and also in the original thread by Mr. Biscuit. There was a VAG-COM thread recently too (strangely, it comes up when you search for vag-com). You will find that the free version is fine for activating cruise control.I'm not getting at you personally, and I have nothing against new people, (we were all new here once!) - just remember, this forum has been here for years, with many different members, so the chances are your noob questions have all been asked before And I will be posting a How-To thread soon, hopefully we can get it put in the Archive/Information bit of the forum
J.K.jr.bad.
Hi!Does anyone has put cruise control on some petrol version? Does this stalk from diesel version would also work?
jon_273
No.It's been tried but to my knowledge no one has ever got it to work on a Lupo GTI.
CROFTS_G
I know this is an old thread, the issue of 12V to the switch isn't clear. So the black wire is connected to PIN 14 and a 12V supply, so putting 12V into the ECU? Sounds iffy, hence my asking.
tchouki85
hello here is the tutorials that I made on the forum of GolfIV.fr if it can be useful for some https://www.golfiv.fr/tutos-electricite-electronique-f144/regulateur-de-vitesse-pour-lupo-1-4tdi-t110542.html come on guys a little report Gentle awakening of the lol chick And first surprise :punishment: After dismantling all the windshield bay plastics and wiper blades Tadaaaa air conditioning filter in original condition: punishment: therefore to be changed soon After a brief cleaning, observation of the work area to know where to pass the wiring, after careful consideration It will be to the left of the mastervack, because there is a plastic pad that gives access to the interior So dismantling the battery and go I go inside Disassembly of part of the plastics under the steering wheel Tadaaaaaa here is where to pass the beam :danser: Removing the airbag and the steering wheel Change switch operation:mrgreen: Oopssss something is missing :pingouin2: Tadaaaaaa   it's taking shape Connecting the harness to the switch And now the serious things will begin for info the harness has 4 wire So t4/1 >black/blue T4/2>Light blue T4/3>Red T4/4> 2 wire put on the same terminal so a white and a black/yellow Now everything must be connected to the computer For us what interests us is the T81 plug it is the C on the top photo I pass you the stripping of the T81 mdrrrr (I zapped the photos: joker:) So take the part of the plug that goes to T43 and connect the black / yellow wire of t4/4 to T43/14 Be careful because the T43 does not start at 1 but at 6 Then take the second part of the T81 the one that goes from 44 to 81 So T4/3>red on T81/44 T4/2>light blue T81/45 T4/4>white. T81/46 It'll always follow you Well now you have to power the button so you have to look for a +12, in my case I went back to the dimmer on the T6 So t4/1>black/blue on T6/4 And transplant the T6/4 on the plug provided in the wiring That's it for the connection part, it's over  Now you have to activate the mdrrrr thing because otherwise all this is useless Take your vagcom Go in 1 engine Then selected 11 And return 11463 And okay And There you go Then check the controller functions Go to measurement group and select channel 6 Then turn on the regulator you must have a 1 in the box on the right Then if you brake on the 2nd box 0.1.1 What if you brake and gear 1.0.0 So everything is ok you just have to reassemble everything and take advantage of your cruise control Thanks for reading me Edited August 20, 2022 by tchouki85
mk2
Really great info. Can you write a complete "how-to" and it can go in there as a permanent reference. Lots of pics, with no links (sometimes the photo links stop working). 👍🏻
