Welcome kelly

Why you decided on the TDI then?

Tom

Hi Tom,

Going fpr the TDI for 2 reasons really:

1. The Insurance for me to have a GTi TPFT is £2200 - No Thank you :P

2. Ive been driving a 2.0l Diesel now and Im all for putting £15 a week in and it lasting lol.

I've had numerous cars - most being french (R5GGt, Saxo VTR (WORST EVER) and a VW Polo mk3 GT Coupe and have to say I loved her the most.

It was a toss up between getting a new car or revert back to the old school 'pimping' days haha.

So the Diesel it is and with a quick remap it shouldnt take too long for me to get the power up I think its something like 25 BHP? Am I right?

Have to buy the car yet though lol

Thanks for the welcomes people :)

I am sure I saw NFBR's old TDI back up for sale, already remapped to 117bhp, IIRC, its on pistonheads...

if your going to get a tdi, this is the one to buy, try to bring the price down a bit too.

Hiya, welcome to the forum :)

Get a TDI ;)

Although it depends on what kind of driving you do, if lots of short journeys then id probably get a GTi, but otherwise i like my TDi for its refinement and pulling power on the motorway, its effortless.

Although TDis dont like lots of town work too much
