dannywhiteley
Took about 3 hours all in, first window I got out in one piece (and there is a lot of glue to cut out), the second one I rushed and smashed, but still its out and didnt make too much mess.Did feck up one part, snapped a head off a B-pillar torx screw that will need to be got out somehow. Anyways, here you go:-Closed... border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" />Open... border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" />

Adam
They looks mint mate and so does the roof. Are they not easy or easier to break into though?
dannywhiteley
To be honest, if someone wants to break in, its not difficult to smash the window anyway.I think if they were forced they would shatter like regular windows, and all the fixings are hidden from the outside when the car is locked.Nice touch tho, makes the back end of the car look fatter when they're open. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
Adam
You have made a fair point there like, i don't know how i'd expect a pair person to fit through the gap anyway! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
dannywhiteley
Believe me when you want to smash a window it aint difficult (as I found out with my regular window on the passenger side that I smashed as I was getting it out). Didnt make any noise either. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />They are a nice little touch, and cost me £70 all in. dannywhiteley
Just get yourself a decent long bladed, sturdy, very sharp knife. I used some cheapo retractable ***** that ended up falling to bits and making the job more difficult than it needed to be.oh, and a visit to VW this morning and ive sorted the B-pillar torx screw that snapped off. Took some work but eventually got it out yesterday, and fitted a new fixing and screw today. All sorted... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

ge0rdie
So whats needed to do this mod? who else has done it? is it worth it? etc etc
heartagram
I think in summer you will really be loving this mod. When your on the motorway you can have the pop outs open and it lets in some fresh air without letting in to much road noise. If you leaving your car parked up you can leave them open and the car isn't like an oven when you get back into it.

MattyA
Persistance is the key to it all, and a decent knife.I paid £80 delivered for my set which included everything apart from pillar trim.
