MP6271
strangely confused i now am! I was under the impression i had an S SDI yet my V5 says it is an E SDI, but nevermind that, do i have ABS on my feb00 (V) Lupo S SDI, but a main agent said it did not have it. Anyone know of the correst spec or hoe to tell other than standing on the brakes?
NBR
Abs was an option on all lupo's except GTi's.As to wheather its an S or an E... Factory standard Electric windows and central locking were the differences between an S and E.
Snoopy
Put the ignition on and see if the ABS light lights up on the dashboard for a few seconds?

BridLupo
I assumed i had ABS but never noticed the light come on. Its an O3 TDi. I assumed all newer cars had to have it.
dlyall
I assumed i had ABS but never noticed the light come on. Its an O3 TDi. I assumed all newer cars had to have it.ABS was only mandated from last year. Prior to that it was an option on all but the Petrol Sport and GTi. It's easy to spot as the ABS pump is visible on the passenger side of the engine bay. It has 5 or 6 steel brake lines coming out of it. We ordered it with our 1.0E but to be honest the brakes are so weak it's hard to activate it except by braking extremely violently on very slippy roads. In reality I've never had to brake that hard. Tigz™
Only the sport, TDI and GTI came with ABS.Your wheel hubs doesn't have the ABS discs, so if it was an option (which I wasn't aware it was) they would have to fit diffrent hiubs, and larger brake discs. There are a load of brake lines that run underneath the washer bottle
Mitchell
there will be a big block unit under the radiator expansion bottle if you have abs
Tigz™
The wheel hub would look like this.Notice the ring with the small holes in. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="IPB Image" />
