timthetoolman
We have a Lupo Sport 1.4 16v 100hp with a 5 speed 085 gearbox. We need a Limited Slip Diff (Quaife ) for motor sport. We can’t find one to fit our gearbox, only 02T gti’s etc. So does anybody know if an 02T gearbox out of another vw be a straight fit onto our engine/driveshafts/gear linkage etc please?? timthetoolman
It’s in the 1a up to 1400 class 🤔
mk2
I think there's a mk2 golf gearbox with the same internals, for the old 1.2 or maybe 1.05 engines. And there are loads of LSDs for mk2s... Bear in mind that the 085 is based on the old VW Derby box (can't remember the code). The weakness though, will be in LHS CV joints. Just look at the angle the shaft runs. yeha
I have a Gripper in my 085. Any reason you want a Quaife?
