Hey, i'm new here literally just signed up an hour or so ago. I'm 17 and got myself a one liter 52 plate lupo se for my first car. After a little bit of reading forums on here i decided to post my own. I'm a noob at all this stuff and as i'm 17 money is quite tight looking for preferably cheaper things I'm looking for some modifications to do? I've read about removing the bump strips - but couldn't find a good forum for it? Anyway i'm looking for some do's and don'ts. Cheers Kailum

Ok, so I want to replace the standard front door speakers on my 1.4 Lupo and I have a few questions.... 1. What size speakers can I fit in there? 2. Can anyone suggest some speakers from experience? 3. How difficult are they to replace? Thanks from Lewis

Hello guys and girls this is my first post on here so sorry in advance if its a bit crappy. i actually bought lucy in april this year but hadn't past my test until the end of august. it took me so long to post on here because i didn't think there was any point due to not having any modifications but loads of people are doing it so why no eh? May i introduce you to lucy the lupo http://www.flickr.com/photos/106892742@N02/sets/72157637047372176/ Bought her at 101000 miles with only a leaky shock which i got fixed the next week. she's only a 1.0l but she's got a heart of gold, doesn't put a foot wrong over the past few months i haven't really done much, just kept her as clean as time will allow as i am a full time student. at first i painted the badge surround neon pink (don't ask). it looked tacky from day one i don't know what i was thinking. a couple weeks ago i paint the surround gloss black as trying to rub it down to bare plastic was gonna be difficult with some of the angles. i removed the bump strips which took like two days because some of the glue was properly hard to get off. I think since I've bought her i think the biggest mod I've done is the cupholder/coin tray. bought it off ebay for about £20 with out a single mark on it. was well chuffed as i had been hunting for one since pretty much the day i bought it. yes i know the rear head rests are missing i removed them so i could actually see decent out my rear window. i couldn't seem to get into a position that would allow me to see behind me comfortably so they're sitting in a cupboard somewhere as i never have anyone in the back anyway. for sale or swap if anyones interested thought i doubt anyone will be as they are the infamous hoop version. message me if you are interested though, heck message me even if your not. could do with some people to familiarise myself with being my first post and all. If you've made it through all of that then my question is what cheap mods would people recommend that would make this car a little nicer without having to declare it to my insurance. Not looking to do anything big just little details. thank you for reading this and again sorry if the post was a little (or a lot) crappy. my grammar and punctuation are also not brilliant i am aware of this i have slight dyslexia so don't hate.

It's time for a brake disc change on my 1.4, what has been your choice so far? I'm tempted to go with Brembo, both discs and pads. Thanks!

I know it's not a good idea at all but can I run my standard shocks with the rear coilover springs until I find some replacement lowering shocks? Cheers in advance

So I bought my X reg Lupo last week, and the oil light keeps flashing and beeping intermittently. Oil and filter have been replaced twice in the last week and still the same issue. Oil pressure normal and filled up to the correct level, but it is still telling me theres something wrong! The car drives perfectly and the engine sounds normal, the light only seems to.come on when I'm pulling off at lights or whatever. Is this something I should worry about? Taken it to the garage and they can't see anything wrong with it?

My vw lupo 1.4 s will not start I will turn the key in the ignition and the engine will turn over but will not start up some times it does start but only for 2 seconds and then dies please help this problem came suddenly was working one time and then I didn't drive it for about a month because it was out of battery. Then I went to jump start the car and now this has happened please help Thanks Jack

So I want to buy a set of os4 jbw for the lupo.. But the et is et25 will they fit my 1litre lupo? Because it's say lupo et are 35 or something! Or would I need to do anything? So here we gooooo Ive had club lupo for a while now but didnt have the the car, ive finally got my hands on a little 1.0 litre lupo which is currently ongoing a project. Im starting to buy detail for the car getting the little touches to suit me. Im currently waiting for my coilovers to be delivered so i can finally put my little lilly on her ass!! Ill start uploading photos soon but thought i should just introduce myself to the lupo world!!! Thanks for reading guys!!

Hi, I am looking at buying some coilovers for my Lupo but have two questions. 1) "JOM" or "FK AK Street" coilovers, pretty sure about FK's. I have seen them new for about £200ish but I have forgot where I saw them for that price and am now looking at £240 which now leads to my second question. 2) What website sell Fk Ak Coilovers for around £200. found some 15" ats cups that i am willing to purchase but before i commit was wondering if anyone wiser than me know if they fit i know the fact they are 4x100 so they would and i understand the fact that i need to have lower profile tyres in order to keep the overal diameter the same but was looking for advice on offsets and rim width ie would they be outside the arch width. any help would be apreciated thanks harry

Hi, I am looking at some "Ford RS Recaros" they are sold without Runners, I am wondering if Lupo runners may fit onto them, Haven't done much with seats before so dont know what attaching runners to seats involves and how hard it would be, not sure if anyone has done this before, also looking at Mk2 Golf Recaros and wondering the same thing. Thanks in advance.

I need drivers door mirror due to recent collision - the mirror base is still in tact but cover and mirror are broken as is the remote lever connection: pref need in black but could paint it is suppose. anyone have a spare? or Breaking up? ideas for best place to source? Thanks guys Colin

Anyone seen any hide or hair of my old Lupo? Think it was sold... (i stupidly traded it in) Was up for Sale in Falkirk so its probably in the Area somewhere? Wanting to know if it went to a good home or not? Jazz Blue 1.4L 02 Plate... totally standard part fi the stickers i put over the spare buttons... Anyone seen it? Or are you the new owner? I wanna know... Not wanting him back but i miss him....

Camber bolts... yes or no? Contemplating them as my front wheels rub on my arches over bumps and on full lock so I was just thinking of whacking a bit of negative on them to tuck them in. Anyone got front bolts? and have you had any problems or troubles with them? Also been looking at shims for my rears to get about -2. Any advice or suggestions wecome

right guys last august i got my first car a 1.0mpi Lupo got it for the silly price of £420 this is how i got her 15" nasty alloys and 55-60 mm lowering springs and nasty little wing mirrors so i got bored of how chavy it looked with the 15" multi fit alloys made it look then ended up with 5 sets of 13" steel wheels after a fight with a badger i had to buy a new lower bumper, rad, rad fan and slam panel (lower bumper was from a lupo sport so had fogs and was colour coded) other than getting the fogs working the pic below is how i sold her !!! sold it for £800 !!! i got my new car last month bought it after a friend sent me a link over facebook as i had been talking to them about my shopping list of things i wanted in my new car. Dark blue MK2 Arosa Sport with less than 75k miles for less than £1500 less than 6 owners as standard as possible (you wouldn't believe how rare they are) so this is the car i got Dark blue MK2 arosa sport with 73,600 miles 5 previous owners standard other than some nasty hellfrauds wheels and a de badged grill and all this for well within my budget so after having the car for 5 days i spotted a set of month old coillovers on a facebook page for just £80!!! so when my friend asked me to go with him to London for some sound stuff for his car i hitched a lift and stopped off on the way back for my coillovers (lucky friend found a mk1 arosa boot in the blokes shed and got it for silly cheep and a little bonus there was an MS design spoiler bolted on it) so when i had a week off work i put them on and borrowed my mates BMW E30 BBS 14" 6.5j with 165.60.14's on and with a little bit of playing with the front and with a bit of camber I managed to get the tyre past the arch on the front and wind them all the way down I have more plans for the car so il try and keep you posted HID's next week and more lows very soon thanks for reading if you see me around or at a show give us a wave (i will be on club stand with Lincs.V.A.G for a few shows)

I just brought my first vw (a round of applause isn't necessary) and for now I've got about £600 to spend on it. It's a 1.4 1999 lupo s, I'm not 100% sure what the colour is called but I've heard it's fuchsia green? (Looks abit like kermit the frog). Other than fitting my stereo and sub it's completely stock! However some previous owner has kept the alloys and left me with steelies and hubcaps. So I need to know what is worth doing to kermit and what I should avoid. What kind of alloys should I get? Debadge or rebadge? Stickers no stickers? Lower? I welcome any suggestions! Cheers in advance.

just brought my 1st car which is a volkswagen lupo E 1.0L. am over the moon with it but was just wondering if anyone knew why the passenger wing mirror is a bit smaller than the drivers wing mirror? is this standard for all lupos? cheers

First post, New owner and new member, just need help on finding the right exhaust as i got a GTI bumper when i purchased the car, just wondering what would be the best system ? or would i just need a Cat-Back to be able to centre it. Also need on help on what wheels to put on, 4x100, 14 inch ? Need help please Guys, Thank you Jerome.
