  1. Thanks for the info The fan is working perfectly on all speeds. The heat from the fans, when set to max is mostly not very hot but is sometimes quite hot. had the car from new so no one has meddled with the system before thanks Colin

I have a Touran 55 Reg.(2005) i'm having sporadic problems with the interior heater system. most often it will not get hot enough but sometimes it does. i have already had the coolant thermostat changed which might have made some difference but the heat out of the heater is not good enough most of the time!

  4. I need drivers door mirror due to recent collision - the mirror base is still in tact but cover and mirror are broken as is the remote lever connection: pref need in black but could paint it is suppose. anyone have a spare? or Breaking up? ideas for best place to source? Thanks guys Colin
  5. My Lupo's plug leads are in very poor condition. Are they easy to replace. Do you have to use the ones with the metal jacket or will standard Halfords/ rubber-only type suffice?
  6. You've been very helpful and knowledgeable here. Please, if you have time, could you look at my own post about changing gearbox oil on my Lupo E? I've recorded it under Lupo 'model specific' section. 18th October 2013.If you could also advise what oil I'll need that would really be a great help too. Thank you Colin
  7. I have a April 2001 999cc lupo E. Variant SCAUCX01, and i am experiencing some odd gearbox noises. I had thought that the general transmission oil also served the gear box but i am reading that there is separate gearbox oil and that may either need topping up or renewing? Any thoughts? Also do I need a 17mm hex plug / Allen Key as is suggested by other topics to top up and/or drain? Do you know where the top up and drain plugs are? Any pics? Thanks
  8. I've updated my post with the codes now. But what caused these two was not clear. The car needs a good service and I'll see if the idle then becomes more stable. Why the engine start could be blocked by the immobilizer I just don't understand. I did get a second key made by VW and perhaps they set that off in error? Any ideas?
  9. I had to take my lupo to local garage because Engine CHECK light was showing. There were two codes found. First related to high tick-over (P0507) and Second something to do with the engine start being blocked by imobiliser (P1570) They've cleared both codes and we'll see what happens They left the Service indicator showing. My question here are: 1) if members have had experience with either of these two problems and 2) is it worth purchasing my own vag com device and what would members recommend as a suitable and affective purchase, yet for a reasonable budget? I would want one to be able to reset the service indicator and check out and clear any codes arising. Thanks

  11. Should be a simple job,I would have hoped. Have removed the two bolts but unable to lift off the filter box because there are various rubber pipes attached to it preventing this. I see that the filter box is screwed together but the screws are underneath and impossible to access without lifting off the filter box and turn it over. Your help and advise is required here. Many thanks OBS
