Hi, I'm new to Club Lupo but I've been driving my Yellow 1.4 petrol for 5 years now. I want to sell it. I'm moving and won't need a car where I'm going. Its got about 92,000 mileage partial service history and is in good condition. No rust, has had a new exhaust including CAT converter, new Cam belt, and I get it serviced every year. The only thing is, the driver side door lock has broken and no garage near me can get the parts. It locks and unlocks fine from the passenger side. It's bright yellow and has served me well. My question is, would anyone be interested in buying it? I got offered about £600 on a trade in. Anyone interested or any offers? Thanks Mike

Hi, just wondering if the lupo sport rear bumper would fit straight on my 1.0e and would the centre exit exhaust fit too? And if anyone had done this please give me some tips and if its any louder, cheers!

Hi has anyone got an idea what locking nut this is and how to get it off I have got them on with BBS RA's the person who I brought the car off had lost the locking nut and I need to take the wheel off to check brakes and do some work on the car....I am however finding it hard to get a key or know what key to even get for this locking bolt, I would like to be able to use these nuts again so don't really want to break them in anyway but really need them ASAP. Thank for anyone who can help with this issue.

For sale I have a lupo gti rear spoiler complete with bootLid and wiper motor in red. The spoiler does have a slight crack on the underneath side and the brake light has a slight crack on the left hand side. Please see photos. Problem with xenons So drivers side xenon is not working some cable was cut I've put them back together but still not working When i turn lights on it flickers and tries to turn on and goes off there is power going through the wires that was cut so that part is fine Main light doesn't work (red circle) But the bottom light is working (green circle) So if the ballast/igniter is dead could the bottom work but the top wouldn't? I haven't swapped over the bulb, is it a definite bumper off job? Thank you

Had to call out rac due to my cambelt going on my 1.4s lupo, anyone got a rough idea of costs to repair? After being towed home, the recovery guy said he thinks my engine is possibly unsafe .. Soo I'm guessing its going to be good news! Cheers

hi I'm having a problem with my arose where the accelerator pedal is popped out of place making it not able to achieve 100% open throttle. i can see whats wrong but dunno how to fix it as don't know the name of the part... Can anyone help? thanks

Sorry I'm new to this, I was wondering if anyone could share any info and help me out. I have recently brought a 1.4 lupo S with what I thought was a good spec list as I have never seen this all on one lupo, or even at all. List as follows, -pop out back windows -3 seats in the back instead of two - heated seats -easy access fold and lift seats -heated seats -cd multichanger -fog lights -electric Windows -air conditioning -sport alloys -stubby mirrors both sides if anyone can shine a light about if this is rare at all or if it is simply just another lupo then I would be very greatful ?? thanks

Hey, I've got a 1.7 sdi Diesel lupo 2000 plate. Recently the reverse gear just refuses to work, all the other gears are perfectly fine, I can pop the reverse into gear and it'll shift back a few inches then either jump out or make a horrible crunching noise, I've taken it to a mechanic and by force he can reverse it back normally but the car sounds terrible because you can hear it wanting to push the reverse gear out. My mechanic as quoted me £1500 for a new gearbox! Or I have to find a second hand one, all in all inc labour I'm looking at around £800 and there's no guarantee the gearbox will work as its second hand... i went to a local mechanic and told them my problem and they said it sounds like a broken reverse linkage? Never heard of something like that but inc labour it's £150..if that's the case. I'm going to book my car in but I'm worried they'll cause more issues then I have, love my lupo but it's a 2000 plate and I don't really want to spend almost 2k on a gearbox. does it sound broken? Or a link breakage? Am I being ripped off? Sorry for such the long post but it's becoming impossible to drive the car without reversing, I have to roll out of my drive -__-. Any advice would be great! thanks!

So I've done quite a bit of driving today, and I just noticed my battery light is illuminated, even when the car is running. I've looked around and found that with the polos, it means there's a battery malfunction and that it's got about 500 miles before it stops working. Anyone ever had this problem, and if so, how is it fixed ? Thanks in advance. Myles. -

You must forgive me as I am not sure if I am allowed to try and sell my car in this section of the site. I have got a VW Lupo 1.0 MPI for sale though. 2002 Reg on 02 plate, It is a very clean car inside and out with very few and minor bodywork damage. By this I mean 2-3 tiny scratches that are difficult to see and NO DENTS whatsoever. I am selling her due to the fact I bought the car in the pretense that I was going to make her a very nice first car that would be loved by all, however, sadly I am no longer be able to make her my dream first car. I bought her in October 2015 off of a lovely family in Norfolk who looked after the car very well and didn't modify her ever. As soon as I saw the car I bought it and then collected the following weekend. It was MOT'd the day after I put the deposit down and it passed the MOT with flying colours. I have covered around 200-250 miles in this car as I have not yet passed my test and I am still on L Plates. Like I said my mission was to turn this stock VW Lupo into a dream first car. I bought a set of coillovers for her and have lowered her quite a lot at the front, as for the rear she is lower than stock but not stupidly low. I also bought a set of 15" Alloy wheels off of my friend however they wasnt in the best condition so I spent one weekend sanding them down and re-spraying them. They do NOT look brand new but look a lot more respectable and cleaner than they did when I got them, I also put 2 new tyres on these so the wheels have 4 decent tyres. Since I have had the car, I have spent a lot of time and money on it. So far since I have had her I have Changed Cambelt and Water Pump Alternator Belt Offside - Front Bottom Arm Sidelights (Now a bluey colour) Rear Number Plate lights which are brighter and make the car look nice and bright Suspension (Lowering The Car) A new door strip on the Passenger side as the other one was loosing its stickyness I bought a Cherrybomb rear exhaust box to put on the car but have not yet got round to putting it on so will come seperate to the car but so far have not touched the engine/ exhaust system at all. It also has Brand New Team Heko Wind deflectors on it which I haven't yet taken out the box The car comes with EVERYTHING to have it put back to stock, A cherrybomb rear box, Wind deflectors, All paperwork, 2 keys, and lots more.
