it is fairly stiff already, and i don't think the missus would take to kindly to going stiffer XD

I'm not going to bite as I know that's just how you are I just found it odd how light the steering goes when I hit say 65-70 mph. I'm not looking for proven facts and figures, just asking around if anyone has noticed a difference after fitting the splitter.
  7. the arosa was based off the polo's chassis, but is quite a bit shorter. I doubt that a polo's exhaust would be a straight fit, but if you already have one, there's no harm in trying it on, and if it doesn't fit, you can then modify it as neccessary
  8. Been on your site and 'friended' the facebook account. How much would it be for a full boot? Floor, rear of the seats and maybe the side covers?

  10. Thats mental! i'm guessing thats a rattle canned finish? looks wicked, i bet you get some right looks around the town!
  11. yeah, we're a rare breed us mk1 owners, especially the sport! Just a quick update, managed to replace the foglight finally, it looks weird now having one used fog and a crisp, shiny new one! still yet to be fitted is the new gearknob, the old one appears to have been superglued in place, so i'll probably have to saw it off, unless anyone knows of a decent dissolving solution i can use to destroy the glue? Got some paints as well to colour code the bumpers, and i'm still waiting for a decent day to get started on the alloys...
  12. Hey guys, just a couple of photo's to give you a better idea of what i need: Tucking tyre at the front, could fit a fist in the arch gap at the back. Car is apparently lowered 40mm all round but the back is much higher, hoping that someone could provide 60mm springs for the back to level it out a bit more. Before anyone says just get coilovers/you'll never be happy with the lows of springs, 1) coils are out of my budget, and i don't fancy losing the fairly comfortable ride i have at the minute for cheapo coils. 2) i already scrape on silly little things at the minute, especially the speedbumps outside my estate, so i can't really go lower until i move out. If you can't handle the lows of 60mm springs, i will swap the springs i have on there atm to save me the hassle of selling them on again

Yeah i know what you mean mate, its not gonna give huge amounts, just enough to keep the car a bit more stable. I'd have thought the splitter would guide a bit more air through the bumper rather than under it, but i can appreciate that it is done more for styling and those ever controversial 'fake lows' XD

    Front Splitter

Hey guys, just a question to those of you who have a splitter fitted to their cars. Is there a noticable difference in downforce at the front? As i start to approach motorway speeds the car feels a bit light at the front, and i was thinking that a decent splitter would help push the front down enough to get the car to feel a bit more 'planted' through the steering. I'm likely to go for an LCR splitter as that looks to be the only one that looks like it might actually provide any decent airflow, rather than the block like shapes of the polo and mk3 gti splitters
  15. Hi guys, Don't know if you've ever come across these little buggers before, so this may be novel to you I've been practicing 'Pixel Cars' for 4 years now, and this is my latest work, based of a lupo body, just mocked ups some ideas for my own arosa. Top one was my initial dream before i even got the car Next is how I bought Joey in his original state After that is what he should look like with a few choice mods on my limited budget Further down is an infinite cash Joey! The white one is your stereotypical hellaflush fanboi tune and the last on is a no-f**ks-given rat rod type thing. If i'm feeling nice, I might make some signatures for you guys based on decent photos. As you can see there i've made my own mk1 arosa 'base', derived from an existing base of a lupo. There isn't a mk2 as yet, but i'm sure i'd be able to hash one up given the time Much love guys
  16. Hey guys, me again, with yet another rattle >.< Here are the facts: Inside the backbox, sounds like a loose component only present at a cold idle, goes away at higher rpm's and once warm goes away when light pressure is applied to the bottom of the back box Is the backbox about to fail or can it be fixed? Also, will a GTI box fit if it is going?
  17. Really wanted to buy diego before i realised i actually could have insured him >.< For now i will use him as my inspiration!
  18. very tempting but i have bought a bit too much for the car this month >.< Good luck with the sale dude
  19. Wow i feel lonely >.< New foglight has arrived, thanks to Dale Awaiting delivery of a lupo se gearknob, fixed the centrebox rattle with some 'careful' adjustment with a spanner, only for a new one to start going in the back box >.<
  20. Those alloys look fit. that is all.
  21. Got a nice colourful collection from every corner of the globe with your mates there Liking the bombed logo on the boot, not a massive fan of the blue detailing against the yellow paint, but thats your shout
  22. any interest at all before i chuck these on the 'bay?
  23. Managed to sort it by whacking some pliers between the pipe and heatshield and bending it until it doesn't contact anymore! However, developed a new one last week, coming from inside the back box. Odd one this, it only vibrates at idle from a cold start, goes away after warming up, or when light pressure is applied to the centre of the back box. Sounds like something vibrating inside it. Can that be fixed or is it gti backbox time
