  1. They were Rota J-Mag in 16x7 form Bang on Rich No idea what they weigh and don't have them to hand, however they are lighter than the Thule/VW items as guided below, prefer not to post but I will for £65 Cheers for the info Silver
  2. Having a bit of a clear out, bought to transport a bonnet, won't be using these again They're all black, I covered the bars in wood effect which has faded a bit. Only after £50, collected from CT19 5QF or can take to Ultimate Dubs.
  3. Looks like it sits a lot nicer now
  4. That looks the dog danglies, top work Mr. G
  5. I completely agree that it will be a classic, but it's a GTI, top of the range - it odes itself to being modified as generally the people that buy them are of that nature. Luckily most of the modified trends found in VW circles are of high quality with only subtle changes, rather than a lot of modifying scenes where low quality parts are used to make cars look as close to a brightly coloured spaceship as possible. I suppose what I'm saying is you won't stop it (not that you're trying to) and it could be worse Sorry, but you're in the minority here I think
  6. Nice. Packing pretty much all the choice mods too, good work
  7. That's what I meant to say Sorry to but you would have seen if you'd have looked first
  8. 50mm springs cost almost as much as coilovers and you're stuck at one height, it's a no brainer if you ask me...
  9. 40mm is hardly worth it, the odd scrape will do no harm and it's ill fitting wheels causes rubbing not suspension. Mine will go no lower and standard wheels with standard size ballon tyres stilll don't rub. Man up and get on with it

How much time have you got to play with?
  11. Only gti's had this as standard, so unless he has swapped it out of one, he won't have I'm afraid
  12. 'Bulli' is what they call campers on the continent
  13. 20 seconds?! Put some wd40 on the spring and bang, sorted. As for removal, 2 torx screws underneath if they are the below the dash (later dash)version, if they're in DIN hole (earlier dash) take your stereo out first and you should be able to get to them.
  14. Click my sig? oooooor Search Folkeswagen on Facebook, join and come to our next meet?
